Very good attorney in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. Mr. Goolsby's associate is also very hardworking and keeps you updated of your case on time. The office staff is also professional and courteous and works hard for you as well. It is a whole collective team effort here. I used the law firm of Mr. Goolsby for an issue that occurred back in 2016. The consequences could have been a lot worse, but Mr. Goolsby and his associate worked hard to ultimately get me a dismissal if I complied with certain court conditions beforehand and avoided all additional trouble. I did so, and my case was ultimately dismissed and qualifies for an order of nondisclosure. Highly recommend!

I’m speaking on behalf of my friend that acquired this law firm. He was never visited once while he was incarcerated in jail. The lawyer never let him know any details about his case. When he showed up for his court date the lawyer had no clue that the DA and judge were going to sentence him for time(in normal circumstances before someone goes away to serve time they get to say goodbye to there love ones). He spent well over ten thousand dollars with this law firm that continuously fed him lies. His lawyer would show up late for his court dates all the time. I would definitely recommend a better law firm!

I just spoke to my friend and he informed me that YALL never visited him once while he was in jail. So I don’t understand why you feel the need to lie. The only reason his case will be dismisssed because he never had any felonies on his record so that says a lot to your remark about “long criminal record.” You never discussed his case with him once or reached out to him while he was in jail. It just really upsetting that he spent so much money for bad representation.

I am very disappointed with the outcomes of a dear loved one case. I will try to keep my review short, but unlikely. #1. The lady who picks up he office phone is not very professional and compassionate. Our family is going through a rough time and when we call, the least you could do is call back when you say you are going to call back. Each time that I called in regard to my loved one, she made it seem talking to me was an inconvenience for her and was quite rude. #2. My loved one has been a client with this firm since 2016 and has given thousands of dollars to be represented by the lawyers here, but the lawyer didn't advocate for him as much as they should have. On September 14th, 2018, he attended court, thinking it would be the last one and all he had to do was sign a plea deal paperwork for deferred probation. The lawyer showed up almost two hours late, apologizes and explained that everything was looking good. After coming back from talking to the prosecutors or whoever, he came back and stated "sorry, I got bad news. You have to go to jail and serve 120 days." WHAT?! How do you go from, oh everything is looking great, to oh sorry you have to go to jail. Like how are you his lawyer, but didn't know that they were thinking about sending him to jail. My loved one had NO time to prepare. Me and his son didn't get the chance to say goodbye or anything. It was a BIG heartbreak and ROUGH transition. But, we had to accept it and move on.
#2. My loved one in the midst of serving his 120 days, the lawyer informed me and other family members that he would only have to serve 60 days maximum. We are like okay cool.....60 days goes by and he is still not released. Called lawyer again and he was like oh he will be out next month. At this point, I felt like his lawyer was just feeding us false information or information he thought we wanted to hear, without really knowing or trying to figure out what was going on with his client.
#3. NOT ONCE did his lawyer visit him or communicate with him while he was in jail. There were public defenders in and out of the jail cells visiting their clients on the daily basis, but in the 120 days he served, you didn't go visit/talk to him once.
#4. In early December, he had a final plea court setting where he then could finalize his probation agreements, my loved one from jail showed up to court, but the lawyer NEVER showed up. I had to call the lawyer later on that day and asked why. He said that he went in two days prior to file for CONTINUANCE....like really? Why didn't he let anyone know or why didn't the jail/court let anyone know? And why are you continuing the process out further?
#5 finally, the final court date in January 2019. After me and the father communicated with the lawyer for the final time to talk about possible release dates since the 120 days has finally came, the lawyer PROMISED me and the father that he will be released soon and he wouldn't have to serve any more jail time. The father bought a plane ticket and everything to be present for when our loved one comes out of jail. Great, he got deferred probation for the case, meaning it will eventually be off his record, exactly what he wanted and now he can be released. NOT WHAT HAPPENED.
#6. Another county came and picked him up and now our loved one is sitting in another jail facility, not knowing anything. It is very upsetting and frustrating with the amount of back and forth, the amount of hopes getting let down, and just how awful the miscommunication and false information being told by the lawyers from this firm. They are clearly overworked to the point where they can't advocate for their clients to their full potential. I really hope they get better at this and they take what they did to my loved one to heart and learn from it. This is not right.

My lawyer Edward took up my case and the case got dismissed in the court at pre-trail Awesome I would rate 5 Star for him for caring and his responsibility over my case.

Mike over delivered in my situation. While I am certain one can never know the outcome in a case ahead of time he was confident in pursuing what was in my best interest. I am very satisfied with the level of service and expertise exhibited in my case. He has even offered and made himself available advising me after the situation was finalized and was honest about what he knew and what was not in his arena. He also set up a no interest prepayment plan for me due to my financial situation. Be assured, I know that he will do all he can in the best interest of his clients.

Paid 6500 to be handed off to two different people over a year just to take the D.A'S first offer. I had a pocket knife an took a Zippo from Walmart never even touched my knife or threatened anyone with it. Now I'm on 5 yrs probation and a felon. Worthless

Mr GOOLSBY I need you to call ASAP. I called to speak with you about my case and your assistant LIZ attempted to define my character staying "I NEED TO QUIT CALLING AND HAVING AN ATTITUDE WITH THEM" !!! I and started to LAUGH HOSTERICALLY as I was talking to her. I asked her what was so funny, she stated "OH, SOMEONE TRIPPED IN FRONT OF ME". Why do I have to be treated in this manner by your gate keepers ?? I am TIRED of having to deal with them and my character being CHALLENGED Everytime I call when I'm only calling for your assistance with case related issues. The only time these people call you is to collect money. You ask about your case and the clerical staff act as though they don't know anything but how much you owe. The lawyers never call you to let you know what is going on. I am glad I went with another firm that at least took the time to let me know what was going on.

Mike and his team worked wonders on my case, he actually achieved more than was promised and thankfully my life is on a better track now because of it! Would recommend to anyone. Was more expensive than other options but can you really put a price tag on a just lawyer?

This was the only law firm I called out of 10 that answered the phone without me having to leave a voicemail! The law firms that called me back couldn't see me right away and I needed answers!!
