Very disappointed, I was assured by his secretary that he would take my case, he was 40 minutes late for the 1st appt. Then he tells us he can give out legal advice without all the court documents. So I make another appt with him, he cancelled on me 3 times for 3 different appointments, then I get a call from his secretary The day before the court date that he will not take my case. Very unprofessional, for a former Alamogordo magistrate judge. Now I have to show up in Magistrate court without legal representation because I waited on this attorney (James Scott Newton) for legal representation. I would not recommend him to letigate a parking ticket, let alone a real case!!!

Hired him twice. The first time he did a good job, since i had payed him only half of what he charged. The second time I payed him in advanced, and it was like if i just gave my money away. Ended up getting a warnt for my arrest and never got a call back from him to explain.

Received a speeding ticket in Alamogordo NM. called Law office of Scott Newton best call I could of made for the situation. Mr. Newton was Great and helped me take care of my issue. I would give him 6 - Stars if the reviews would let me! Thank you Mr. Newton for your help!

Scott Newton has been a great attorney and former Magistrate Judge. Always able to help, communicate and assist. Very knowledgeable and understanding. Have and will continue to refer people to his office.
