Jim Viles is the Lawyer you want and need. I don’t go to a lawyer for therapy, I go for legal advice. After dealing with an X-wife that required mediation and court over and over for more than 5 years. Each and every time I need a lawyer, Jim and team have been there for me. When I am mad, he will listen and then bring everything back to reality. His calm demeanor, knowledge of the Judges, and awareness of how everything works is amazing. Court is unpredictable, and Jim does what he can, but if you are willing to listen to his advice you will leave court happy. If you are looking for a Family law Lawyer, I cannot give a more whole hearted endorsement of Jim and his team.

Hint.. If someone writes a negative response, look at other reviews they write. You will notice a theme, then give it the weight it deserves when making a decision.

I do not recommend this attorney, during my 15 months of working with him, he consistently had a difficult time hearing my requests, explaining clearly the divorce process and when held accountable for not doing the job I hired him to do he became irritate and belligerent with me in his office.
I picked him due to his experience, but found his lack of professionalism and ability to communicate deplorable. He used walls of words to avoid and change topics, refused to ask the respondent side questions and failed to convey respect to me as a client.

I never got a call back after talking to the lady that answered the phone. I called back and still no call back. Would of been nice to get a response one way or the other and possibly an explanation of why.

James was very courteous and knowledgable and answered all my 'hypothetical' questions to the best of his ability during my phone consult. He has a pleasant demeanor and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him when the time comes

Jim is a knowledgeable and outstanding attorney. I used Jim for my divorce that I originally initiated back in 2013. I reinitiated on 2 occasions after that with the last one being the final. Jim was very patient with me and my situation and was always transparent on the implications of waiting, vs. proceeding. I never felt rushed and he was always available to answer questions He’s what I would qualify as a practical attorney, very matter of fact and direct which is something I appreciated.

In addition he’s been handling divorces for years and has witnessed a lot of unique situations (mine was one of them). My advice to anyone seeking Jim’s counsel to educate yourself as much as you can about the process prior to seeing Jim. It will insure that you ask all the right questions and are efficient with the process.

I had used Mr Viles’ services in weathering two cycles of divorce actions with a now ex-spouse. I found it easy to develop a good, open rapport with Mr Viles. He provided calm, objective perspectives for highly emotional situations, which helped me to reconsider my viewpoints, learning a few things in the process. His focus was on doing the right thing to reach reasonable and equitable accommodations, but at the same time, not to agree with unreasonable demands the from opposing parties. He is quite knowledgeable on the different aspects of going through a divorce, and if not, he finds the appropriate resource to confirm or re-assure his position and perspective. He kept me informed of where things were at all times, which I very much appreciated. You do have to listen to your attorney though. Mr Viles provided good advice in handling certain situations with my ex-spouse that I ignored and subsequently suffered the consequences. In the end, we ended up with what I wanted all along. I was quite satisfied with his services and highly recommend Mr Viles.

Jim explained everything in detail and walked me through the steps during very hard time. Working with him and his staff was easy and he took the time to make me feel comfortable with all my questions. I would highly recommend Viles Law Office!

Jim does a great job and really cares about his clients

I do not recommend Jim Viles as an attorney. We spend over $6,000 on him just him to read email and show up to court once and we hadn't even had a hearing or got to trial. He is very unethical and had a hard time hearing our request when it came to my children's safety and my ex's issues. He kept putting me off and had a hard time communicating with me. I either didn't hear from him at all or weeks later. His lack of professionalism to fight for me the way I wanted him to get responses to the other party. I feel he doesn't care about keeping a family together or what your requests are, just in it for the money. DONT HIRE JIM!!
