4 and 3/4 stars for the kind and meaningful help they administer to people everyday. "Bet Tzedek" is a non profit organization that deserves praise and accolades.

Sometimes information they give is misleading. Used to be very good, I referred many people there.
They used to help with landlord-tenant disputes, no longer. Too bad. Would have been a 5 star. Pay more attention to customer's needs. When you call , they transfer to many people , shuffle you around.
One lady who is doing power of attorney or transfer deeds cannot be found. Only on Wednesdays. I called many times. Nobody knows her direct number or email.

We had our court date 3 months ago & still have not received the legal documents. I tried calling their office to find out what happened, but my call gets sent to automated voicemails. No real person to talk to. Not very helpful.

My case was referred to Bet Tzedek by a social worker and I received a call, provided details, later met with two Bet Tzedek volunteers. Nothing else happened. The person responsible left Bet Tzedek and no-one else became involved. I enlisted the help of a social worker to find an answer. Finally Bet Tzedek called and said they couldn't help me. My personal feeling is that there were ways they could easily have helped me -- by accompanying me to a court hearing, for example -- but instead they dropped my case.

Can never speak to someone on the phone, can only leave messages. Does not have adequate resources to help the elderly.
