Jason Porter is the best attorney in Jacksonville!! He has been there for me and my son several times. I have set down with Jason and talked about my concerns and he has always put my mind at ease and has always been there. In my opinion there is no better attorney!!

First and foremost everyone from staff to the attorneys are all great!! I first started with the firm in 2015 and due to my own circumstances I was unable to complete the needed court requirements in order to finalize my case. The amount I paid to retain an attorney was placed in a trust and they assured me it would be there until I completed my requirements. 4 years later they kept their word and finalized my case once I completed my needed court requirement. Everything was professional and in a timely fashion on their behalf. They also found a second issue that needed to be resolved and also completed that for me. Although I hope to never need their services again, if I do, I will definitely be giving them a call.

I don't usually write reviews but I am finding myself doing it more lately as I do not want other people to go through what I did. Mr. Porter and his staff are very nice and I went with him because I was referred to him by someone I trusted and felt I would be able to trust him as well because of the connection. That was my first mistake. I trusted them to help me with everything as I came to them at the very beginning of a case and they did not help guide me or manage my case properly and by the time I started to realize it was becoming an issue and I changed attorney's it had did damage not only to me but my case. For this I am very unhappy with the law firm and the management of my case at the beginning and their help.

I loved Jason. However, they pulled another attorney on board for my burn case. THAT WAS HIS CHOICE, he allowed that attorney to hold my case for over a year and do nothing. He also allowed them to treat my very bad and JASON failed to even give me the respect of a phone call to remove himself from the case. The attorney he chose had a bad attitude and when I insisted on a phone call my case was dropped! Really?

My case was very frustrating and had some complications along the way, due to the nature of it being an injury and the unfortunate way Florida does not mandate bodily injury liability insurance. Eventually all of my bills got sorted out and I appreciate the hard work of their paralegal Dani who put in a lot of effort to have the bills submitted properly and try to work with the billing departments. My case was not one of those that you see plastered on billboards with the person holding a check for a 6-7 figure payout and I can appreciate that some attorneys would not have even wanted to bother but I am glad that Atty Porter and his staff were willing to work with me and be understanding of the hardships that someone who is seriously injured will face. They still worked to help resolve my bills and the case while doing so for a lot less than most cases attorneys take on.

I met Jason 13 years ago in a case I had. He wasn’t my first choice of lawyer originally. Our original lawyer was unable to preform the task needed at the time. Jason took our case over and worked his magic in the courtroom. People, the is no substitute for a court case. This firm is head and shoulders above anyone. If you want to go generic with your cereal that’s fine. You can buy Fruit Rings instead of Froot Loops. But when choosing an attorney and your life is on the line, go with this firm. Jason Porter and his extremely dedicated team worked with us to get a family member the best defense possible. We shopped around before picking Jason and his team. Once we sat down and talked with Jason there was no need to go any further. Since that day the entire office makes you feel that your case is important to them. Jason worked with the Prosecutor to come up with an arrangement that reduced everything down to an acceptable Misdemeanor. Jason questioned the officers in a way that made the Prosecutor know that witnesses weren't reliable. This is the experience you need from someone who used to work for the Prosecutor's Office. This is the first time in my life I have ever had the need for an attorney in my life when I got pulled over for DUI in March. I meet with Gary Shumard and he told me from the beginning I was facing an uphill battle because I did what they call a double refusal. In my life I have only had need of an attorney on a few occasions. But, last year when I found myself faced with a DUI arrest, I knew a lawyer was going to be a necessity. After several meetings with other attorneys whose tactics seemed to be to scare or intimidate me into using them, I met with Mr. Porter and another attorney in his office, Gary Schumard. The two immediately set my wife and me and ease and we discussed the facts of the case. When the state refused to drop the case or reduce the charges, Mr. Schumard got down to work and crafted a defense that never departed from the truth and pointed out the reasons why I was not impaired as accused. Over the course of a nine-hour trial, Mr. Schumard methodically picked apart the state's one-note case and -- in a daring move -- even put me on the stand to explain myself. In the end, the strength of the truth prevailed and the jury returned a Not Guilty verdict in just 20 minutes.

Mr. Shumard's opening, examination and closing were so compelling that my brother-in-law, who was visiting from out of state, asked for his card in case he ever needed a lawyer while in Florida.

I have to start with this. Several years ago I got divorced and hired an attorney (not Jason Porter). In the end I feel like the guy only wanted my money and really didn't push anything. In the past 6 months I have went to Jason Porter to assist me with some modifications. He didn't have a Family law attorney at the time, but one of his practices is Family Law and he was willing to take my case. After my consultation I felt he was the guy.
