I went in worried sick and with hurt pride. To be honest, at first I felt our lawyer was dismissive, like this was no big deal. I felt like he didn't understand the gravity of the situation. Bankruptcy is the epitome of "adulting" failure in my eyes. I wanted to pour out my life story. He kept me fact focused, for sure. HOWEVER, he was always courteous, professional, smiled and patient. Upon our second meeting, his "tough love" was indeed the best thing for my anxieties. Mr. Lewis's straight forward attitude helped educate me, put my mind at ease, and let me know bankruptcy was not the "end all of end alls" I had preconceived. I can tell he is known and respected by the court officials, and that too made me feel confident.

I am stating this because, I tend to overthink everything and rather prideful. I am sure others out there can relate. If so, do yourself a favor; and call Mr. Lewis! He is the courteous straight shooter you are looking for (yes I threw a Star Wars reference in there ).

As far as pricing, of course there is a sticker shock when you can't make ends meet. However, based on research and other people's personal stories, our bankruptcy was quite a bit lower than we expected. The quick process, ease, and mainly peace of mind was worth every penny: and then some. Thank you, very much!

At first understanding and not rushing me to pay the other half ($750) I owed as I was battling illness, not working, and having a hard time getting back to work. Now I am extremely disappointed in lack of communication and clarification between paralegals and attorney. They just showed me a lack of compassion and understanding on everything I’ve gone through this past year because I stated “I’ve been through Hell and I didn’t just need to get the news my file was closed on top of all I’ve been through” I was told I was cussing. I’m sure most retaining their services are going through Hell. I kept up communication on paying my final half and relayed pertinent changes that could affect my case. The paralegal told to me to let attorney know before I schedule an appointment to finalize moving forward. I just thought my change in circumstances may not work so asked how I stand with them if it doesn’t such as would I have further fee obligations etc. No confirmation to close just did it. I guess I’m a dime a dozen.

Great bankruptcy attorneys! I think I paid somewhere around 3500 for my bankruptcy. Don't wait until your completely broke to get help! I had a friend that found a less expensive attorney and she wound up paying more and did a LOT of work herself. In the end, she paid more than I did send had a lot more headaches. I paid Lewis & Jurnovoy, gave them the requested documents and waited till my hearing. It was so easy and simple. I have called them a couple of times for questions since my case was closed and they are so helpful. I highly highly recommend them. Don't wait till your broke to get help! Call them!
