My ex retained them and even though they were opposing me, their staff was extremely friendly and courteous to me. They are very professional and never let me feel like I was unwelcomed. Once again, this is from someone who was on the opposite end of them.

I was represented by Sharice Ogas Pacheco as my lawyer. She (and the whole office) did extremely well in communicating with me the status of my case and understanding what I hoped to achieve in our court hearings. She was able to find several statutes that applied to the case that I had not heard of before helping me save money in the long run. I appreciate all the help that the office was able to provide.

Don’t waste your time or money. We got lectured on how we needed to be more flexible with our schedule when we didn’t even get to see the baby for an entire year! After our lawyer quit the office conveniently one week before the court date (which had already been rescheduled once) and no one else in the office wanted to take our case we found a new lawyer who did more for us in one week than this firm did in months!!! Don’t waste your time or money because they’ll definitely take it! We got more than we expected with another lawyer and are very happy this office did not represent us in the end. Very condescending! Do yourself a favor and find another lawyer, they are all for the mothers and not for the fathers.

Worthless! Every single negative comment is what my father experienced before I fired her. Lazy, and absolutely unethical as she drafts motions but never files with the court and still charges like she did. $7,000 wasted for my father but guess he made her debit payments helping her out.. I am very dissatisfied with this office and the staff members, particularly Sharice Ogas Pacheco. She handled my case and I am estimating to have spent over $8000 over 9 months for something I could have done easily myself if I had spent the time on going through the required paperwork. I had hoped to achieve a 50/50 parenting plan with the help of a representative but looking back, it seems like I would have done much better on my own. One time during an in person consultation for a parenting plan she had stated that "it is good that we are doing this in person so I can charge you more" I kid you not! I do not know if that was supposed to be funny or just plainly unprofessional. After the office withdrew from that case the did not have me sign the request, instead they wrote "Did not respond". At times it seemed that things became even worse being represented. I do not feel like fathers are being properly represented with this office and I would advice any father who is seeking advice to shop around first and also do most of the work themselves plus educate themselves about State Law and Federal Law. It is worth it to do so and not just blindly trust somebody who in my opinion is highly overpaid for the work that they are doing. If I compare this to what an Engineer is making, and in my opinion that work is much more valuable to humanity, the numbers absolutely do not add up. Overall there is a larger problem with general perception and view points on general rights of fathers in the US and the World regarding parenting, which has nothing to do with this office, but as long as we do not regard both parents to have equal rights as far as parenting, it is absolutely not worth it to get an attorney for fathers in my opinion. For some reasons custody is generally rewarded to mothers even though that is one of the worst forms of discrimination. A mother is not automatically a better caregiver for a child just because she is female. I know of a lot of very loving fathers, including myself. Maybe it was just this office and somebody else would have done much better but overall I did not feel properly represented.

Thank you for responding to the review. I am absolutely certain that your law office would not be in business anymore if you did not protect my confidence even though I am no longer a client. You most certainly charged enough money for me to expect that from you.
I have voiced my dissatisfaction with your office and to Sharice multiple times but I was pressed towards decisions that have put me in a very bad position regarding spending time with my daughter. I will absolutely not recommend your office to any father as it seems like your office is focusing on female clients primarily even if that means sympathizing with the opposing party. I did not feel accurately and effectively represented by your office as a male divorcee and again will not have anything good to say about your practices or your counseling style. I have spend a lot of money for your ill advise and I hope you either will think about this review and try to make things better for future clients or simply go out of business if you regard yourself to be the pinnacle of law offices. Looking back, I should have done my own research and represented myself as Sharice was pregnant at the time of representing me and going through a lot of emotional irregularities, more than usual. Regarding the last point, I referred to the way Sharice was handling the billing regarding cheeky comments, telling me that she was happy to be in person so she could charge me more, giving an example how much your office seems to take about money, more than about their clients. It also seems like you are taking a huge case load as Sharice stated that she represented more than a hundred clients which looking back clearly reflected the way you were treading me as you represented me, like a number and not like a human being. I hope you will take this review and make things better instead of considering yourself perfect the way you are.

Jill is a phenomenal lawyer. Jill represented me in a 2 year custody battle and was always very attentive and was very supportive. I have dealt with other lawyers, she is the best. I recommend her to everyone!!

I was, obviously, very unhappy with the entire experience with the firm. First they charge you $250 for a 15 minute consultation. None of which is applied towards your retainer. Then after they were made aware how incredibly limited funds I had to put toward this they burned through my entire retainer, without telling me it had been exceeded, filing 2 documents I'd have preferred to handle myself and meanwhile not accomplishing a single thing I hired them to do. And by that I don't mean the outcome, I mean they didn't do anything I specifically hired them to do. 90% of the reason I hired them was to make my life less stressful and all the succeeded in doing was making it infinitely more so.
After the initial hiring it just began to feel like they were much more interested in maintaining their relationship with the opposing attorney (I probably should have gathered that from "we work with him all the time.") than in representing me as I wanted. Little things are beyond annoying, as well. They are not open Fridays, and don't respond to any e-mails or messages over the weekend. Even if you're waiting to hear if you need to get on a plane or drive to NM for a hearing that may or may not be happening. It takes a week to get return e-mail from them, but then I get admonished for not being available over Christmas.
Really though not respecting my budget or schedule in any way and leaving me in a far worse state financially and time wise than when the whole process began was just ridiculous. It would have been infinitely easier and less stressful to just burn thousands of dollars. I realize every business has to make money, but most businesses are required to actually do something when paid thousands of dollars. Had they been honest up front and said they had no intention of staying within budget or simply didn't want to even attempt to that would have been fine, but instead they took my money and did nothing.

Exceptional firm - Jill is a very detail oriented attorney and created and executed on a strategy to help me win my case. Not only that, but she made sure that my case was positioned very well for the future. I've worked with several attorneys in New Mexico and she is head and shoulders above any other firm I have work with out there. The staff are also very responsive and friendly. Very much a pleasure working with them.
