Unorganized, very slow to respond. They also have cats all over their office, which should've been a red flag from the start.

Only the best staff and lawyer! Totally awesome and would absolutely come here for anything you need. Be honest and they will get you the win. Everything is a process but sticking with it will get you what you need and they will do everything they can for you. Has a love of animals:)

Expensive!!! Dianne makes promises that she will never fulfill. I’ve been waiting a year for her to file papers from court. She ignores my email and letters. She threatened to post confidential information if I left her a bad review.

Is Dianne actually a legitimate attorney? She is the most unethical and disrespectful person and lawyer there is! Lying to the judge, can’t discern fact from fiction, and zero idea how to actually dress for court.

Bottom line is that if you want someone that can’t possibly win a case then pay her the ridiculous fees she charges. If you want someone that actually paid attention in law school, go with anyone else!

I sat in on a consultation with a friend today at Ellis Law Firm. If I ever have to hire an attorney, Dianne Ellis is who I will happily give my money too. If my friend has to hire an attorney, Dianne Ellis is on speed dial. She's real, she tells you like it is, she's the most down to earth attorney I have ever come in contact with. She says things other attorneys won't. I truly believe she is the type of attorney that will be 100% behind you. She comes off as the type of person that doesn't like nor takes B.S. I would definitely want this woman in my corner! AND there's two cats roaming around her office named Dexter and Hannibal. How freaking cool is that!?!?!

Dianne is by far the best attorney you could ever hope to have. She fights with everything in her for you and your case. I am a former client, and Dianne worked with me on several very complex Family law cases. I feel the need to put some of these bitter reviews in realistic context..

Firstly, she is truly tireless, and *relentless*. I observed her frequently working not only long hours during the week, but regularly into weekends to make sure both myself and other clients had the best possible chances. That aside from taking 'panicked texts and calls' at odd hours, and compassionately responding.

Secondly, she truly does care, and if you want some specific examples that just about no other attorney would do.. she briefly loaned me a vehicle, and found me a space to work when my normal office was unavailable. Additionally, I also regularly observed her going above and beyond for other clients.. for example, in more than one case helping single parents get their children clothes and shelter when they had been forced to flee from spouses.

Thirdly, while she is fierce and feared to the point, I saw her referred to as a 'Pitbull' by someone up against her, she is ethically beyond reproach. It is clear for example, that in her family law practice, she genuinely cares about achieving the best and right outcome for the family, not just clients. She will not engage in 'revenge', and will not tolerate clients that are expecting her to provide that or otherwise unethical behavior.

As regards the 'animals'. I have been to two of her offices, and they have always been completely clean and professional. Yes, there are a few animals, but having a cat nearby when you are recounting a traumatic experience, or considering potentially life-changing options for your family, can be incredibly comforting. All I would add there, is it perhaps speaks to the client and their motives if they are cold and apparently not in need of any emotional support. Frankly, if that is the case, it probably is not the law practice for you, and you probably need to find one of the many unscrupulous attorneys that neither cares about you nor the collateral damage of any litigation.

I have nothing but complete admiration for Ms Ellis, but it is well-founded from her legal ability and compassion. I received a good outcome, completely against the odds in my legal battles. No attorney can guarantee a good outcome, but if you want one of the best legal minds around on your case, I strongly recommend her.

There are always going to be either bitter clients that did not get an outcome they hoped for but was unlikely even with a team of attorneys on the case, bitter 'would-be' clients that either expect pro-bono work, bitter 'would-be' clients that want something unethical or not feasible, and of course bitter opponents and their friends and family. Unfortunately, the very best attorneys often get a disproportionate amount of this. Please consider that when reading some of these reviews!!

Dianne is a life saver. She has been there for my family more than anyone else ever has and is still fighting for us to stay a family. My wife and I have 2 separate cases with her to keep our 5 kids with our loving family and she has worked her butt off for our family. She and her entire staff are like family to us now.
We went through hell and back with other lawyers who were against our family and wanted to put our kids back in very bad situations and she stepped in and fixed everything and is still fighting tooth and nail for our family. She will fight for anyone who deserves fighting for. Dianne is fierce and gets things done the way they're supposed to be done. I cant put in words the experience I encountered using Dianne as my defense attorney. For the first time I didnt get ripped off by an attorney who only looks on my situation on how they can benifit my pockets. Barely competent and extremely unprofessional

Dianne came highly recommended for an adoption case for my wife and I. Because the adoption involved 2 states it did seem over her head. The adoption took 18 months because of missteps. Our daughters GAL, Dana Bumgardner ending up doing the ICPC after we were advised by Dianne that it wasn't needed because of a loop hole. Two reasons I would not use her going forward - unprofessional and not thourough. You can understand how important making sure all loose ends are tied up for an adoption is to the adoptive parents. Dana Bumgardner in Laurel Mississippi is amazing and really pulled through when we needed proper representation. I did see Dianne in action for a divorce the same day of our adoption hearing and her client seemed happy and pleased with her service. I wish the best for Ellis Law Firm and all their future clients.
