Additionally - Nikki, I’d like to thank you for your help as well. You both made this process as painless as possible and I am forever grateful.
After interviewing 10 legal firms in the Georgetown / RoundRock area and feeling like my case was a lost cause, a friend introduced me to Ryan Deck and after a brief 20 minute call, I knew that I was in great hands. Throughout the process, I always felt that Ryan / Nikki and the team would achieve the best possible outcome. I really believe they went the extra mile and did everything possible and achieved a complete dismissal of all charges. My wife and I believe it was a miracle.
Throughout the entrie process the whole team acted in the most professional manner, quickly responding to all my emails and calls, answering all my silly questions and always making me feel like I was their most important client. They took the time to explain every little detail and I knew that whatever the outcome of the case, no one could have done it better.
If you are ever in need of legal representation, I would encourage you to call Ryan and Nikki and just hope and pray they have enought time to take your case.
I've never had an issue reaching Ryan by phone, email or text. Even if he misses a call, he returns your call within an hour at most. Ryan has made the hardest situation a bit easier with his kind, caring and attentive work ethic.
My first frantic call was greeted by Martha, a calm and competent individual that took my information with a promise of a quick return call. Nikki, his paralegal, quickly called me back and gave me clear instructions on how to contact a bail bondsman to get my husband out of jail. Ryan's bondsman recommendations were equally efficient in cutting through the red tape and getting my husband released within a couple hours.
Ryan made time to meet with us right away to discuss our situation and clearly explained what to expect in the legal process.
Throughout this process of defending my husband, Ryan and his staff have been respectful, honest, efficient and effective in successfully negotiating a grueling legal system on our behalf.
We were thrilled to receive the phone call from Ryan as he left court telling us "Great News -Case Dismissed!"
When your greatest possession is being threatened - that of your freedom - call Ryan Deck. You will receive the very best defense possible and be treated with respect and concern for your individual situation.
However, that was the last time I heard from him. This is probably not his fault directly, however, my horrible experience is a reflection of the firm:
After my consultation, I advised I would need some time to determine if his firm was best for me. I decided it was after about 3 week, and contacted his firm. I spoke to a "Nicki" at that time and advised I was ready to hire Mr. Deck for his services. She advised that he was out of the country ( I forgot the location that she mentioned), and that he would be back the following Monday. I left her my info and she said she would have Mr. Deck call me back that Monday.
I received no response that Monday. I called the next day and received a VM. I don't like leaving messages, so I decided to try again at a different time in the work day. I still received the VM. I decide to wait another day in hopes my previous call was just going to be returned. I received no contact that entire week. Last week, I called during the middle of the week, at another time frame during business hours...no one picks up. At this point, I decide I would not want to work with a firm that does not pick up the phone during operational hours or return calls.
Today (a week later), I realized I still need to hire a lawyer for services. Before looking for another, I decide to try Ryan H. Deck again, in hopes I would get a chance to review our previous agreement ($600.00) for retainer & court documents needed. I called around 3:20pm and got an unknown female to answer the phone. She advised Mr. Deck was not in the office. I advised that I never received a call back and needed to see if I could still hire Mr. Deck for services. I advised the last time I spoke with someone, I was told he was out of town, maybe Mexico or something, and that he would get back to me. She told me she apologized and had no record of my call but that she would get the message right to him.
Around 4:30, (while in the middle of my work day), I received a VM from the firm from Nikki. She was obnoxious, saying that I don't know what I'm talking about saying that Mr. Deck was out of town and that he hasn't gone anywhere. She also re stated that I never called before so there was no way to return a call that was never received! I couldn't believe what she was telling me over VM, as I am a senior world-wide customer service manager for a very well known entertainment/gaming company.
When I called back (5:12pm cst - after business hours), Nicki answered the phone again. I told her who I was. There was a long uncomfortable pause and then she asked who I was again. I told her again and explained she left a VM for me returning my call. She said, "Oh, I called you back but there was no way for us to call you the first time since you never called in the 1st place..plus He was never out of town to begin with." I explained that I did call weeks ago and how a rep (which was her) told me he went out of the country and I think they said Mexico but I was not sure. She told me "no, he hasn't been anywhere like that before".
I advised that where he was or wasn't really didn't matter and that I just need to know if he could still provide the service I was requesting weeks ago. At that point, she shot out a list of the services, and fees that he will be providing to me and that I need to pay $1000.00. I explained that was not the amount we had agreed to. She re-iterated the same amount and stated that it what it is. At this point, I told her never mind and I will hire someone else.
Mr. Ryan H. Deck may be an awesome person & lawyer, but he has incompetent and unfriendly staff as gatekeepers who are definitely costing him business.

I met Ryan through my daughter who was facing serious felony and misdemeanor charges. Ryan was court appointed. After speaking and seeing Ryan in the court room I knew he would do everything possible in her defense, and he did.
Ryan got the felony dismissed along with most of the misdemeanor charges.
I would, and will, recommend Ryan to anyone who is in need of a criminal defense lawyer. Thank you Ryan!
