Best divorce attorney in Orlando! After three long years of a tumultuous high asset divorce, it is finally over. My ex hired five different attorneys trying to compete with Mercedes expertise, to no avail. Mercedes and her paralegal Leyia were there for me every step of the way, always available, always talking me off of the ledge and always straight forward. We went to trial, the judge ordered my ex to give me everything that I asked for -a direct response to Mercedes representation and experience. Mercedes does not work for free - you get what you pay for and I payed for a women with over 20 yrs experience in family law with many years of trial experience and she was worth every dollar!

I typically don't write reviews although I felt I should share with others my personal experience if you are looking for a competent, knowledgeable and caring attorney, she is here in Orlando and her name is Mercedes Wechsler.

I was recommend to see Mercedes after a failed collaboration experience by my then current collaboration attorney. He pointed me towards her as a tough, fair, compassionate person that will take time to listen. Mercedes met with me within a day and discussed my situation and set real expectations for me right off the bat. I decided to retain her services to represent me against a completely unreasonable spouse and am extremely glad that I did. My divorce process took a little bit longer than four years and I can honestly say at times I wanted to quit, I wanted to give in, I wanted to scream and during that time Mercedes and her staff never wavered, always gave a sympathetic listening ear, and always held a true course. For that I will always be thankful.

Mercedes billing and fees were more than fair for what she and her staff bring to the table and I never gave it a second thought.

If you want someone that is beyond competent, fair, compassionate, and an ultimate warrior when it comes to you and your family you need not look any further than Mercedes and her excellent staff.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MS. WECHSLER TO ANYONE. If I could give Ms. Wechsler and her office 0 stars, I would. Her office filed a motion in my case WITHOUT MY CONSENT or prior knowledge. When I asked to be notified about future motions, THEY DROPPED MY CASE WHEN I HAD A LOOMING DEADLINE. I was up to date with payments and have always communicated with civility and respect, no matter the situation. My case is very sensitive and involves a child's safety. If you are looking for someone to fight for your child's safety, look elsewhere. Hiring her was a COSTLY MISTAKE.

I appreciate both Mercedes and Cecilia's help in handling my case! They are very knowledgeable and I was made to feel comfortable during a very stressful time. Cecilia was always responsive to any of my emails and calls, she went above and beyond to keep me informed of the process. I hope not to need their services in the future, but if I do I will not hesitate to reach out to them for help. It is worth mentioning that Mercedes was the second lawyer that I hired to take over my case. The initial firm that I hire was a disaster! Do your due diligence and interview many lawyers prior to making a decision. In doing so, please consider Mercedes, you will be impressed with her and her team (Cecilia). Mercedes is direct, to the point and sets clear expectations of what to expect. I highly recommend her.

Her and Leyia are amazing. They put their heart and soul into every case. If I ever need an attorney again I will always use them. They were my backbone throughout my whole case

She helped me get custody of grand daughter in a very tough case. Mercedes did an excellent job at fighting against under handed crook father who went to prison after 3 years of us fighting him in custody battle. If I had to describe this law firm in one word, it would be . . . . effective. I was embroiled in a highly, contentious divorce which became increasingly more complicated than necessary because my former spouse was also an attorney. Mercedes took over my case in mid-stream after a series of missteps forced me to terminate my first attorney. It was a messy situation but Mercedes and her staff helped orchestrate a successful conclusion. Her paralegals are extremely knowledgeable and caring. Don't get me wrong, you have to pay her. However, the value is surpassed by none. She is smarter and works harder than the rest!

The worse attorney I have ever encountered, anytime an attorney takes the side of the opposing counsel and works against you, I wouldn't never consider an honest attorney or truthful. Wasn't looking out for the best interest of me or my offspring at all. I am having to spend thousands more on real honest attorneys who have my back to undo the nightmare of problems this attorney caused. Her staff is rude, argumentative and not supportive at all. Not once did I ever feel this attorney was on my side at all. Please in my opinion find a different attorney.
