Was a good divorce attorney, but when another issue came up, i couldn't get the respect of a call back. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Quite simply, in my opinion...THE WORST Attorney I have ever worked with...EVER!!! Her assistant said she had called and called and called to locate the EMS Report for me...."couldn't find it anywhere "she said. I called the local EMS office in Sumter Landing...they referred me to their office in Bushnell... I had the document in FIVE minutes!! WORST of all is that I NEVER had a summary meeting before going to court. I had asked her assistant what this appearance was for, what was I to expect....she said "just a summary review to let you know where the Court's progress is. NO...It was my pleading trial appearance!!! I met with Jody 3 minutes before court was in session...she said I had 3 options...guilty, innocent, or throw myself on the mercy of the court , and beg the Judge for leniancy. She left out one VERY IMPORTANT option...a continuance!! So, I had to plead guilty...I didn't find out that a continuance was an option until the next person's Attorney asked for one from the Judge, and was immediately granted. I didnt' see any interviews, any depositions...that she said was why the $3,000 as a part of. I NEVER saw an interview, the police officers records to see if there was another incident of police misconduct in a prior arrest. A far as I am able to see...she took the $3,000 and was gonna teach me that if you ask for a flat rate, you get a FLAT defense! That is my opinion and I STAND BY IT!! I am pursuing a number of agencies...including The Bar to review her conduct and her representation. These are strictly MY opinions based on my experience with her. Suffice to say... I am going to shine some sunlight on how things were handled on my case. One last experience with Jody...I needed her to assist with an early termination of probation. Because of a simple comment about not upsetting the Probation Officer... she told me I could do it myself and ABANDONED me. You CAN'T request an early termination without an Attonrney!! I have requested a VERY comprehensive request for copies of ALL my cases notes, phone calls, interviews, depositions and even Post It Notes that were documentation of the time and work that went into building my defense. No reply yet, but I did receive the notification that they did sign for the request. Jody's inter-action has made this FAR WORSE for me. Like I said...these are my opinions and feelings. I just wanted an attorney that would have been in my corner. In my experience and interaction with Jody was NOT what I expected and I would NEVER choose to use her again. Whether or not you choose to use her is entirely up to you. I see that she has many, many favorable reviews...Believe me, I wish I was here to write a glowing review TOO. Sadly, I cannot.

This law office is amazing! Ms. Fisher was so caring regarding my son's child support case. She guided us through the process and has given him a new lease on life since he is no longer has an enormous amount of back support to pay. The staff was courteous and helpful every step of the way. I used Ms. Fisher well over a year ago. I won my case, I mean I could have with any lawyer, but ultimately she screwed me and my mother over by misinforming us. She said that in order to get my son's father to pay for the attorney fees that the case would open back up and he would have an opportunity to get "more rights." That statement is true, time way down the road!! Not directly after the order when these things are supposed to be done! Costing us at least $2500 which was owed back to my Mother from my ex for making us go through this bs in the first place! Assuming that since she got paid her's, who cares about mine and she didn't want to deal with it. I found this out today by a Very experienced attorney who I questioned about it. And now after getting on here and seeing the other reviews... I guess it doesn't surprise me! Go to Tavares for your lawyer!!!!!

Horrible. In my opinion, The worst attorney ever. I paid her to handle my divorce for me. I wanted to move out of state with my son. I asked that there be an iron clad contract. All in all the contract was not as iron clad as I thought. I might as well had written it in crayola and saved myself 5k... the results would've been the same. When I gave her the specifics that I wanted in the contract every draft she gave me was missing what I had asked to be put in there. Maybe she's done better with other people I don't know, but in my opinion I feel like it was a mistake for me to hire this woman. I felt like once I had already paid that she didn't really care as much as she presented in the initial meeting.

After a particularly ugly divorce I had a custody issue involving my grandson. We had moved to Pennsylvania and my ex was still in florida. I chose Jody because she is certified in PA and fl. These things always take time and are ultimately expensive. Not only was I in PA but my case was in Volusia County which is world's away for both of us. Jody was always upfront and took the time to listen to me. She and her staff were always quick to respond and believe me there were lots of emails and phone calls. She got my grandson out of this legal system and made me whole again. I owe her everything and she was happy to receive a thank you.
Jody my grandson was allowed to be that little boy and is now 10 years old. Playing baseball, football, cubscouts and now playing the guitar for the past year. I could never repay you for all you have done.

Taken for a 20k ride.... Fisher is a scam and a half and will milk you dry given the opportunity. I'm sure there has to be "Honest" lawyers in the world despite the rep but Jody Fisher I assure is NOT one of them. Save your money , heartache and time and find a lawyer that cares !

The worst attorney ever!!!! All they want is money.. Nothing gets done!!! took over 10k and I'm still not divorced... Your better off defending yourself..

Recently I had to use the services of Ms. Fisher to settle an outstanding divorce order from Ca. from over 30 years ago. With me currently residing in Florida it presented some logistical and timing challenges. Ms. Fisher steered me through all the legal aspects and was able to attain a settlement suitable to the Ca. court system. She kept me informed every step of the way. Her legal advice was reassuring, professional and accurate. Most importantly her availability via text messaging proved to be invaluable and time saving as it provided nearly immediate answers and updates as to what was transpiring in this case which involved several parties. Kudos to Ms. Fisher and her assistant, Robyn.
