I paid Mr. Mikus over a year ago and the only thing he has done is draft an Affidavit which I was then responsible for filing with the court. I asked him at least 5 months ago to prepare a Demand Letter and I have yet to receive it. He no longer answers my phone calls, so I guess I am out the money I paid him because the Affidavit was a small part of what we agreed he would do. Mr. Mikus DOES NOT take pride in his work because, if he did, he wouldn't be collecting money for services he has no intention of providing. I am a widow of 14 months and I hired him within 2 months of losing my husband and all he has done is take advantage of a person already going through a difficult time.

The worst attorney I have ever worked with. I hired him for the probate process when a family member of mine passed away without a will.
I asked to have a face to face, introductory meeting and he very rudely declined saying it was unnecessary and everything could be done through email. I priority mailed some documents to his office and then he keep demanding that I also send him scans of the documents a week later (you have a scanner in your office! Just do it yourself...).
He was frequently unresponsive and I would have to be the one to check in weekly to see how things were going. It took him 5 WEEKS to create a simple rough draft of a legal document. Key word: Rough draft. It wasn't even the completed document that needed to be filed yet.
In addition to not wanting to have a face to face meeting, he also frequently dodged trying to talk with me on the phone. He randomly called me out of the blue on a Friday afternoon while I was driving. I told him I was driving and couldn't talk, but he said it was the only time he had available so I stayed on the line. He spent an hour on the phone with me and in between legal advice, he would go off topic and talk about random things like how he was a Bernie Sanders supporter and liked socialism policies. ...What the heck?
Overall, he was a terrible attorney who was inefficient, rude, unprofessional, and gave bad and incorrect legal advice during a time when I was trying to grieve over the loss of a family member. DO NOT work with him. Seriously.
