Mary is very intelligent when she speaks to her clients. However, she does not deliver in divorce cases. She will charge a retainer of $5,000. At the end of your case (which is not too involved - no property or children), you will be billed an additional $2,000- $5,000 for her services. Would recommend another divorce lawyer. This town has plenty of good ones: David Hurvitz, Deborah Thompson, Nilo Sanchez, Seth Nelson.

Katie is AMAZING. I can not say enough good things about her. I think the most important reason I feel so strongly about her is that she allowed me to be emotional, but took the emotions out of the situation. My divorce went very smoothly. After 17 years married to a full time military man, 3 kids and hundreds of moves, leaving all I knew, everything that was comfortable, was so hard. I asked her to help me stay on the best of terms with my ex, and she made sure we left mediation both feeling like neither lost, but neither won and it was ok to grieve the death of my marriage. She is always professional, but easy to talk to. She understands the difficulty but also makes it a smooth transition. Mary is a great lawyer. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get as much out of the mediation process compared to a judgement, but I’m glad she guided me toward resolving things that way. I was treated fairly in the agreement. I got most of what I wanted, and I’m happy that mediation allowed us to relieve some of the pressure and hostility that was building up in the divorce.
