I was overhearing a family members conversation with Mr. Murphy regarding a potential case and was shockingly surprised how extremely arrogant and unprofessional Mr. Murphy conducted himself. During the conversation, Mr Murphy explained to this potential client his input of the case in a belittling manner displaying rudeness with his tone of voice. In addition, Mr. Murphy explained that if a dealership called the client to return to the dealership in order to resign a new contract, that means they really mean it and if the client fails to do that, the dealership will tow their car right away. Mr. Murphy further explained that this case is time sensitive and an action needs to be done immediately. I don't know what kind of education Mr. Murphy obtained at his law school, but one thing is for sure, he needs to freshen up on his Due Process of law knowledge. No dealership can simply just go to a persons house and seize or obtain a person's property without obtaining a court order or legal documentation that authorizes the right to take legal actions on their property. Needless to say, I will never do business with this arrogant, unprofessional attorney now and in the near future. Take your business elsewhere, Mr. Murphy doesn't deserve not one penny of your business.

I called Mr. Murphy to inquire about my case. As I began to explain the circumstances, Mr. Murphy repeatedly cut me off when speaking. He came across as arrogant, belittling, and unprofessional with a lack of people skills. Based on the Business Conduct Standards of the American Bar Association, as an attorney, you have the responsibility to lead by example, by adhering to the highest ethical and legal standards. You also have the responsibility demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and respect for others- which you failed to deliver. There are so many attorneys in the field, spare yourself this one, and find one that will treat you with respect, dignity, and deserves your business.

Mr Murphy was easy to talk to and pointed me in the right direction for my issue. Even though he knew I was looking for a point in the right direction and not hiring anyone at this time, he still Took his time and didn’t rush while we were on the phone. If I need his services or someone like him, he’ll be the first person I call.

Wow. Either he was having a really bad day or he’s not a nice guy. The reviews looked overwhelmingly good so I decided to stop by at 9:10 (they opened at 9). He opened the door and didn’t even invite me inside. Instead he asked me what do I want and people should not show up to his door. Standing there in my dress pants, shirt and tie before work, I mentioned to him I suspected dealer fraud at a dealership I had purchased a car from the previous day. He said he doesn’t give advice and looked very annoyed. Being a physician, if a patient came to me asking for advice, I would at least put them in the right direction, if I could not be of assistance. With this being my first car buying experience I thought he would be much more understanding. He honestly had that look on his face that he hated life or something was really annoying him. Whatever it is, I hope he gets over it and thanks for pretty much just opening the door to tell me to go. Two stars instead of one because he opened the door at least and spoke for 30 seconds.

Mr. Robert Murphy was very rude and insulting. I called in hope to gain some insight on my possible case and he treated me like I was a waste of his time. Mr. Murphy had an attitude with me and basically told me that his rates were too good for me being that I was a 21 year old and that his legal fees were "too expensive" for me. Sounded very sarcastic and hesitant to help. I don't recommend him.

He was very rude and unprofessional on helping me with my case. I called him to gain knowledge and help over a situation that I know is worth hiring a lawyer for. He continued to rush me off the phone and have an attitude as if I was causing him grief when explaining my situation to him which is what a potential client should do. So when I acknowledged his aggravated tone he agreed that he did have an attitude with me because I called him 3 times and he has someone more important to talk to other then me.

The reason why I called 3 times is because the first call his site said that he was available but since it was the holiday he said that he wasn't working and that I should call back. The second time I called back once I gotten a little more information but it wasn't enough for him so he AGAIN told me to call him back once I got all of it. So I called back and his assistant or secretary acted as if it was a problem calling and asked me details about my case to then transfer me over to his rude ass and our conversations never lasted for more than 3 Mins. Like I said when I confronted him about his tone he said yes, and explained why he was frustrated with me for me to feel uncomfortable and let him know that I wouldn't be working with him and he said good then quickly hung up in my face.

This is my very first time going through this situation I'm already stressed with what I'm currently experiencing. So again why does he feel the need to feel as if I'm annoying him when I'm just trying to understand. That's not good business. So I hope that he treats everyone else after me better again I didn't think me calling to get his business was such a bad thing.

I approached Mr Murphy to ask him to represent me in a fraudulent consumer case involving an air conditioning company. I emailed him voluminous information detailing the situation on a Saturday afternoon, and was surprised to hear from him via phone on the very next day - a Sunday afternoon. He had read information and understood it all. He commiserated with me, then started explaining my situation, which was that he was unable to help me due to the current state of Florida law regarding consumer fraud. I was very impressed that he took probably an hour to read all the information, and then spent 30 additional minutes on the phone with me explaining that there was basically nothing that could be done without putting myself at significantly greater financial risk. I was very impressed with his response despite the fact that it did not result in any legal action.

I have to say after holding a place of philanthropy and stewardship for decades toward all those I come in contact without question I've crossed paths with one of the most unprofessional, insulting attorneys imaginable, Robert W. Murphy.

I briefly explained my reason for reaching out to him based upon a consumer rights/protection matter that took place in the Ft. Lauderdale area and gave him the microphone and just listened. First, he made a horrific mistake assuming I did not have the means to pay for his services which is simply not true. I reached out to Mr. Murphy based upon his apparent positive rating online given my lack of familiarity with the legal profession in the Lauderdale area. He made horrific assumptions regarding my brief synopsis, all wrong, and gave me a quick summation as to why he "was not interested in taking my case because his only barometer for taking a case is being paid ..." Until he insulted me with his assumptions I was ready to engage his services with a retainer. I have found another attorney that actually invested a few minutes of his time to understand my circumstances and am quickly working toward resolution.

This is the first and only time I have ever bothered writing a review on an attorney. As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. As a consumer attempting to hire an attorney that will have my best interest at heart I would have picked 0 stars but that was not an option to write my review.
