We hired Alan and his team over the phone, as we do not live in Florida. We desperately needed help for our daughter. Alan and his team did everything they promised to do and moved quickly and professionally. They responded to our questions/concerns on a timely basis. We worked closely with them for over 6 months. I would recommend this firm to anyone who needs help with a loved one. I can not thank them enough!

As parents of a 26 yr old who has depression and has self medicated with drugs and alcohol since he was a teenager I can say that ARLS helped us save our son's life. We know it will be a lifelong effort, but today he is gainfully employed, has goals for his future and tools to deal with his issues. The marchman act is your tool to compel your loved one to get treatment. As a non-legal person a valuable piece of information worthy of noting is that the marchman act is a civil matter not criminal. Ask more about this for your comfort level. Also not all counties manage this act through the court systems with the same level of efficiency as others. You may have to place your loved one out of your county or state. Ask about this, understand this. ARLS handled our case through the court system efficiently, smoothly and quickly. This means your loved one WILL comply with treatment.

However most important aspect of my experience that I can share is that it is up to YOU to research what facility you will use for treatment and this is most difficult. Few insurance companies cover, but if you can meet your out of pocket deductible you have more choices. You can file your own claims and you may even be lucky to find in net work facilities and have coverage. If none of those options are financially possible there are state facilities available and they may not be as nice but you're trying to save your loved ones life or perhaps avoid them ending up in prison (which is not nice) Unfortunately in this industry it is "buyer beware". So do your homework. Talk with your insurance company. Talk with experts in the field of recovery. Look up Luis Delgado on YouTube known as The Dope Doctor, he has a radio show on recovery and is accessible for advice on facilities. He is not affiliated with anyone in particular. Money should not stop you from saving your loved one there are resources, scholarships etc RESEARCH,!! Don't give up.

Good people! This is a very important phone number to keep on hand when needing legal assistance when there is a substance abuse problem.

This service was unknown to me and very glad to have discovered it. They are a law firm that helps to get an addicted person into a treatment program using a law called the Florida Marchman Act. A relative of mine would not get treatment and the family used these attorneys - and now he is in recovery and doing pretty well, thanks to the marchman act attorneys who knew how to do this. I felt that more people should know about this.

We we're referred to this law firm and they were of no help. They'll either try and send you to a 25k a month private facility or let you know it'll be 6 months for a public facility. Who has that kind of money or time with a serious situation? Save your time and look elsewhere.
