Upon coming to this Law office I had great expectations. My best friend recommended me after she needed a lawyer but unfortunately I was assigned with someone who in my opinion as well (as the people who witnessed the trial) was inexperienced at least in my particular case. Upon initially meeting with him and paying my deposit He was very hard to get in contact with .. by phone or appointment I would schedule a sit down and it would be canceled at the last minute. I let it slide because I was told from another person who worked there that he was good so I figured it would all pay out in the end but still very frustrating when you’re paying someone $1200. From February 18-April 16 I only spoke to my lawyer 2 times total on phone and in person ..which was the day I payed my deposit and THREE DAYS before my court date. He didn’t call me periodically to discuss anything...
It wasn’t the fact that we even lost the trial .. it was the fact that he even suggested it knowing 1. He didn’t have a solid argument and 2. Giving my case he should of never recommended we even try our hand in trial. He was unprepared and I felt as though his defense and how he argued was a practice run for his career. He didn’t tell the judge anything about me as a person, what I do for a living, he constantly asked for pauses while he scrambled frantically through notes trying to piece together a argument that was obvious he never practiced or went over beforehand. I could of hired a public defender for free instead of spending $1200 that I did not have to spend!!! I worked 7 days a week for 2 months to be able to afford the extra money to even pay him so his performance was beyond DISAPPOINTING and that’s a understatement. I reached out to the law office to voice my concerns and was ignored several times before finally being able to speak with someone which I never heard from again after being told he would get back to me as to what the next steps would be. If you have a serious case I would read more into details and look at the plaques posted on the walls as to who the more qualified lawyers are vs trying your luck with someone new. L
