We interviewed James Hart to handle my elderly mother's estate planning. After the interview we were sure Mr. Hart was the lawyer to handle her matters. Other lawyers seemed very cookie cutter without getting to know much about my mom's estate and situation. Mr. Hart assesses the request and provides a flat fee quote which was very much appreciated. He spent alot of time with us getting to know the estate and provided guidance on how to better it. The official documents (will, power of attorney, medical directives, etc.) were presented to us in a very professional, easy to use binder and Mr. Hart provided electronic access to these as well. All our questions during this process were answered both email and phone in an acceptable timeframe. I would definitely refer Mr. Hart to my friends and family.

My mother in-law went to see him. He wasn't helpful and disregarded her time.He asked her to come back because he said he had a 3:00pm appointment.It was 2:15 there was plenty of time to see her! His time was more important than hers. He wasn’t thoughtful or caring . She’s an elderly women who went there for help and made her leave when he had plenty of time to see her. I told her not to go back. If he’s that disprepectful why give him your business.

Jim is also on top of the often complex processes that have to take place in order to arrive at an agreement and stay out of court. He is honest and gives a full accounting of his time on his invoices. He won’t run your bill up unnecessarily. HLF does what it says it will do for a fair price.

Mr. Hart was wonderful. He walked me through everything and even told me how I could do what I needed to do cheaper using other resources. I love that he has a small practice and bases who he chooses to represent based on the clients morals and ethics. I knew I had found the right firm when I read his website. His flat rate fees are great and much more affordable than other attorneys in the area. He made sure that he answered all my questions and listened intently to my story. When I emailed and cancelled my initial consultation in hopes that I could save my marriage, he wished me luck and said that he hoped I never had to contact him again. He seems like a genuinely good man, something that was a comfort to find during this difficult situation. I would highly recommend him to anyone who unfortunately finds themselves in my situation.

Before I even hired Jim, he talked with me on the phone (other lawyers wouldn't even do that), didn't rush me, and was very sympathetic for my situation. He handled my absolute divorce for me, and was great. He told me up front what the fees/costs were, and admitted that he's not the cheapest around, but he's level with his clients and wants them to be satisfied. My divorce was simple, just a matter of filing a few forms, but I had a deadline to meet and Jim followed through in time. He's extremely nice & courteous, and genuinely wants to help his clients.
