I wish I could give a zero rating. They are of no help. I live paycheck to paycheck barely making it each week. Called to get assistance for custody and I'm told I'm over income eligibility. Of course since they count what you make before taxes and the child support I currently pay. I wouldn't recommend legal aid of the bluegrass to anyone. Offered to give me the phone number to call and get a private attorney. I have tried that and they don't return calls. If I had the money for an attorney I wouldn't have called the idiot's at legal aid in the first place. They need to get with the times and realize that just because someone makes a certain amount an hour that isn't what they bring home. So thanks for no help. Really should consider closing this place.

Tried to just get advice about custody. Not wanting to use them but just wanting an understanding of what was going on. And they told me they will not talk to me unless I was facing jail time.

Intake world is rude and unfriendly. They are hard to get in touch with. Not helpful at all. Lousy and I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them for a parking ticket citation. Horrible!!!

We needed some help so we stopped by had to call make an appointment these lawyers work very hard for the great cause helping as many as possible.

I am on social security medicare. I have reached out to the ship program more 5han once , to deal with paperwork . I always recieve prompt response and help. Thank you all!

It's a great organization if they have the lawyer that you need to talk to or if you meet certain requirements are the proper requirements or. Had to remember not everything is for everybody

Slow to help and been a year and a half now. Still have not finished helping me get my divorce. They get someone they don't find at first and they bailed.. no call no letters.. I even called them many times and showed up at the office. Still nothing...

O wish i could give a zero and they don't care and no help they even hang up on you they are very shady and need to be reported plus don't do there jobs and get away because there the state.

It is wonderful for the Common Wealth of the State of Kentucky to allow ones, to get legal help when ones don't have the funds for a good attorney. The attorneys are the best, always ready & willing to help us.

Legal Aid of the Bluegrass is a JOKE! It needs to be CLOSED! Who is running this program? They DON'T do their JOB! I NEEDED HELP! I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES! They DIDN'T do a damn thing to help my family from an WRONGFUL/ILLEGAL EVICTION in Campbell County CASE NO.17C-1725 DISTRICT COURT! My former landlord Oscar Luna's wife FILED an Forcible Detainer Complaint in Campbell County Court stating tenant had an ORAL LEASE AGREEMENT when tenant had an WRITTEN LEASE AGREEMENT under the Newport Housing Authority, the Newport Housing Authority Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program a program I INTRODUCED them to, since that time they purchased a new home, new vehicles, and purchased other rental property! The CAMPBELL COUNTY SHERIFF, the LUNAS(wife & husband), daughter with infant, Crystal Luna's best friend and a Mexican mover "THREW" OUR PERSONAL PROPERTY IN GARBAGE BAGS & FURNITURE OUT ON THE STREETS of NEWPORT, KY. Crystal Luna wanted the rental property which was under CONTRACT which DIDN'T EXPIRE UNTIL 12/18! While Crystal Luna CONTINUED to RECEIVE TENANTS PORTION of RENT & TAXPAYERS-FUNDED SUBSIDIES;HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT CONTACT(HAP) Tenant was NEVER LATE on monthly rental payments in 10 YEARS of residency @416 WEST 12TH STREET, NEWPORT, KENTUCKY! My family just FOUND housing due to Crystal Luna NEGATIVE FEEDBACK and LIES! She wanted the rental property for her DAUGHTER which was turning 18! I had made SEVERAL ATTEMPTS to CONTACT Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, I contacted them FIRST (1ST), I took the EVICTION NOTICES that Crystal Luna placed on my door then was MAILED later! She LIED to her Attorney, Pat Walsh, she LIED to the Judge Blau, she LIED to her husband, SHE LIED & COMMITTED PERJURY! It's a WHITE WOMEN WORDS VS. BLACK WOMAN WORDS! I HIRED James Noll he charged me $1,250 with a $500 deposit! He took my documents FILED them away DIDN'T submit as EVIDENCE(written lease agreement, HAP Contract, URLTA &Tenants Rights), he played chess in court and was on his cell phone! Later he got up and left the courtroom without representation! My family has been HOMELESS for a 18 MONTHS living in my vehicle parks, hotels/motels, wherever we can stay! The Newport Housing Authority DIDN'T ALLOW tenant to file an GRIEVANCE OR HEARING, no one DEFENDED me & my family, no one stated tenant had a WRITTEN LEASE AGREEMENT, NOT A ONE EMPLOYEE, Tom Guidugli, Executive Director, Linda Fields, Deputy Director, Tracie Joyner Program Coordinator Felicia Bell, Housing Specialist ALL of these people VIOLATED my CIVIL RIGHTS, HOUSING RIGHTS, CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, in the past they ALREADY had been HARASSING me and practicing unfair housing practices by taking 3-4 years to issue housing voucher it was to be 6-8 months, not allowing housing choice when signed by owner & tenant, not giving me CREDIT when all of my children where in school, Tracie Joyner violating attorney client privilege and she told Crystal Luna what to evict me after tenant was AWARE of her cheating with the repair/maintenance men she assigned to repair the property! I have called the Legal Aid of the Bluegrass but NO ONE has RETURNED my CALLS, I have tried to CONTACT them several times, I made several VISITS but NO JUSTICE for my family! I have HEARD SEVERAL "RUMOURS" about this business even the Program Director sleeping with the HEAD "MAN", and other SCANDALOUS BEHAVIOR! Whatever is going on Legal Aid of the Bluegrass is NOT HELPING PEOPLE more like HURTING PEOPLE! During this process my family became victims of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, living on the streets of Kentucky & Ohio, WASHING up in restaurants! I CONTACTED every HOMELESS shelter in Kentucky & Ohio, especially Newport & Covington NO ONE HELPED US a African-Americans family of four with pets in tow!

They told me they'll help me but its been a week still an still no call or anything and every time i call they keep telling me someone will get back to me or hang up on me

My daughter has tried 7 years for her divorce hoping you all can help. Holding onto faith. Just keep calling a leaving voicemails for the past three weeks no answer.

These people cant be counted on. They have an automated system that says leave a message and they will return the call within 2 buisness days. I have called numerous of times over a span of atleast 2-2 1/2 weeks and i havent recieved a call back. There is no way to get ahold of anyone unless i guess you go to the office. Im located in gallatin county and im not sure where they are located but it shouldnt be this hard for someone to return a call. I just need to know if theu can help me with my disability case cause if i drove 45minutes one way and im sure id have to wait a couple hours the way they have shown them selves to be. I would be furious to find out theres nothing they could do and i had wasted an hour and a half round trip up and back for nothing. Why cant these people seem to do there job and return there calls.

Doesn't help with probate

Here it is now the day of court for eviction and I have asked them numerous times to return my calls as I don't know what to do. I have showed up to the legal aide office numerous times for over a week and still no calls and no help or returned phone calls. I even left a message for a jenny schields and no return calls from her either.I don't know what to do. Its truly sad that people who really need help can't get it because all they keep getting is false hope. Even from the legal aide office. Now the day of court with no communication from anyone at the legal aide office. I even show up again this morning and guess what's on their door? "OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY FOR STAFF RETREAT".

Came in for help with wrongful eviction , did intake etc was told someone would call and to come when eviction was served. Its now Monday and court is Thursday , have not received a call or anything.

I went into the office and did a intake with the receptionist. And she told me that I would receive a phone call from one of the associates; and no one ever called. I guess that they pick and choose whom they help.

Very good experience for my first time. Helped my 86 year old mother greatly.
