Used this lawyer years ago, still having nightmares! Very rude, underhanded, tried to extract a lot more than originally agreed upon. Don't know how he could possibly still be practicing.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LAW FIRM! Terrible customer service! The lawyer is arrogant even down to the front desk clerk is the same way. Be prepared to pay $150 just to have a conversation with him on the phone or in person to ask a question. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. No clue how they are still in business

Gene Ellison had been a friend of mine for 40 years. He had not only been my attorney but I know how many people he has helped in so many ways. He has the upmost integrity and common sense. He knows how to solve people's legal problems without going through unnecessary litigation. If you want an attorney who can tell you how to resolve your problems, he's the man.

Mr. Ellison has been my attorney for many years and was able to council me on the legal process smoothly in the past. Having said that, I am highly disappointed in my last interaction with him. I paid him up front this time and even though he claimed we would take it to trial he waited til the last continuance and told me I need to take a plea. Because of his poor decision making I did not have enough time for an assessment, to take the classes or any of the other usual procedures. HE DID NOT EVEN ADVISE ME TO DO SO. I had to get the assessment on my own recognizance. He also claimed that paying big bucks for an alcohol monitor would help. IT DID NOT. He advised me I would most likely have to do a week in jail because, and I quote, "It's an election year" What the hell does that mean to me, single mother of 4, living 3.5 hours away from Buncombe County? Once again he was wrong and I had to do 2 weeks. Not happy whatsoever with his performance as an attorney.

I walked out of "Attorney" Ellison's office and walked back in because a I needed to ask him another question. To my horror, I overheard him laughing and making fun of me and my case with his secretary. Unfortunately, I had already paid him, but never will I patronize him again! He is arrogant, unprofessional and rude! If you know what's best for you...DON'T PATRONIZE EUGENE ELLISON!!!

He did a great job for me..He followed through with what he said he would do.Coimmunicated quickly by email. I was extremely worried ,but just for a few days. the problem was settled quickly and without a lot of expenses. Thanks so much !!

He is a crook!! Does not return calls. Charge ridiculous amounts of money. Cannot even show up to court. Refuses to learn the case. Probably knows nothing about law. Is late. Does not return calls. Is rude, talks down to you THE ONE WHO HAS PAID HIM tO DO HIS DANG JOB!! Misinforms you and costs yiu even more money. Secretary cannot even repeat the same information to you. Didn't know my court dates or times which he repeatedly got continued so he could just not deal with it. This is the worst kind of man taking advantage of people in bad situations needing someone on their side. Not someone STEALING THOUSANDS from them!!!

I had a bad experience with the law firm. While in court I thought he was representing the other party. Wth!! Had to ask the judge to please allow me to change attorney since this one wasn't working for me. Couldn't and lost my case. Just like everyone below say "Do Not Use this law firm". You will regret it later.

Please, Please, Please skip this criminal attorney or you too will be burned. I would hate to have more people getting their hard earn money taken by this law firm for which have no idea how he can still be in business. Charged me $2,575 and after seeing me the first time and taking my money, guess what? He is also ignoring my calls "Wow"!! Looking into hiring an attorney to take him to court.

Mr. Ellison came into my place of business today and we had to call the police to have him escorted out. He is arrogant, disrespectful, unprofessional, and all around a very unpleasant individual to attempt communication with. I now believe he thinks he is above certain laws after his conduct today. Please choose another attorney in Asheville, there are a dozen other options within a stones throw of Mr. Ellison.
