I found myself staring directly down the barrel of a loaded gun. In but a moment, my entire life was called into question and my future hung in the balance. My need for a lawyer arose from a car accident where the faulted driver disappeared and had to be tracked down by the insurance company that covered him. During that time they refused to either pay me for the total loss value of my vehicle, since they needed the drivers statement first, and also would not pay for a rental car.
