Jim showed exceptional care, dedication, and diligence in helping with a legal matter in our family. He went above and beyond to help us. Seeing the time and care he spent with us, he's clearly not "in it for the money" but instead, truly works hard to help his clients.

Jim Miller is hands down the best attorney I have ever used. He sought my daughter's best interest, spent ample time discussing any questions that I had, and most importantly was the driving force in a resolution that left everyone satisfied. If you need a Lawyer, Hire Jim Miller.

Smart, honest and quiet. You can depend on him. Not flashy and showy but hard working for the client.

I needed a lawyer to represent me in a parental dispute case, so when I saw James Miller II's website stating "free initial consultation", I said great, this is just what I'm looking for. I need to know what my options in this case are. I called his office and spoke directly to him and right off the bat he seemed flustered, like he needed to look up answers to my questions about my situation in a "law for dummies" type of book. Nonetheless, I asked him if I could come see him to see if he would be the right fit for me and my case - to bring in the paperwork I had, for him to look over. He said yes come for a consultation. Now remember, I'm under the impression that this will be free, like it was stated on his website. After I get there, my first impression of him is not good. Instead of talking about my case, he keeps on talking about a local high school and asking me for information about it (my kid goes there and was mentioned in passing - the school itself had nothing to do with my case, but he was interested in it for some reason, perhaps maybe for HIS kids? IDK.) Anyway, he wastes about 15 mins taking notes about this school for his personal reasons. Then he flips back and forth through my papers, looking like what I imagined a caveman would be like greeted with a stack of court papers. For a few minutes I wondered if I was on a "hidden camera" comedy show, to get a reaction out of me, b/c it was just weird and uncomfortable and uncertain. Then he talked about the names he recognized on my paperwork and said he could do the case and how he knew the other lawyer pitted against me. He was proud of the fact that he said he has annoyed that other lawyer numerous times in the past. So after a total of about 30 mins there, I said "OK, I'd like to see some other lawyers to see which I'd like to go with, before I make a decision on who to hire, thank you for your time" and he stood up and said "OK that'll be $150.00".......
I was shocked. I didn't have $150.00 to waste on this guy to sit there and pay HIM to listen to HIM talk about what programs a local high school offers kids and who he likes to annoy. I questioned why on the website it said free consult - I was met with "that was for the (40 second) phone call, to "consult" about making an appointment to come in to talk - my fee for THIS is $150.00" So we stood there in uncomfortable silence for what seemed like minutes and he was not budging, staring at me with eyes that spoke "well? where's the $150?, come on, yes, good, pay me and get out" - that type of feeling. His demeanor was very intense at that point and I was being rushed. So I didn't know what else to do and in the uncomfortable pressure, I just paid him the $150.00 and left. I could sense I was not going to win an argument about the "free" consult that his website erroneously stated. I could see that one way or another - either from billing me or otherwise, James Miller was going to get "his" $150.00 dollars. So my overall impression - Total shiest-er and not worth wasting your money and time on. 1/5 stars for the way he conducted himself and for his “free consultation=hidden fee”. I found a lawyer that represented me in my case, gave me an actual free 2 HOUR consult, did OK in court, AND gave me back a check for the unused portion of the reasonable retainer he charged. Nothing like James Miller II - be warned and thank you for reading my honest (opinion) review,

HR
