Do yourself a favor and do not hire Joe Passanise. I had to deal with condescending and argumentative staff (multiple times), and a lawyer who seemed to not care about my case. Joe did not personally answer any questions or give any updates until I fired him. They also had me spend money on things that were not necessary for my case at that point, and I didn’t end up needing at all. Buyer beware: they will delay things as long as they can to make money off of you. They “don’t track” what they use your retainer for, and will only tell you after the fact in a mailed letter that the retainer is non-refundable. I am so glad I switched lawyers and got someone who listened to me and what I wanted, and dismissed Joe from my case.

I hired Joseph Passanise to represent me on a couple of cases. His firm charged me $7,000 up front and close to a year later I found out they were representing another person in a case I was in which caused a conflict of interest. I felt since I was a witness on the latter case that they had had on their books for over 4 years they should have seen my name and recognized sometime in the 10 to 12 months they were working for me that my name was on more than one case and should have drawn some red flags I would have thought. Needless to say I released them and acquired different representation. I was sad to learn that I would not get any refunds of my $7,000 even though they only appeared in court a few times to ask for continuances. I realize that they had asked for evidence from the the prosecution but I also realize that these things take minimal amounts of time as they do this every day and they know which forms to you use and which numbers to call to acquire the things they need. Also when they appear in court for me they're also appearing for anywhere from 2 to 10 other people at the same time so the actual time spent on my case in court might only be 5 minutes. Regardless of mymeager knowledge of the law I think I should have gotten a fair amount of my money back as they did not have to represent me for more than a few short moments. These are just my opinions but to charge $7,000 for what could possibly be less than 3 or 4 hours worth of work total seems to me a little outrageous. One of the attorneys that work for them had stated to my attorney when they crossed paths in court that they intended to return my money but that hasn't happened, even after I had asked them by phone once and sent one email. These are just my opinions but I would advise if you need an attorney there might be others better suited for your needs and a little more fair to your wallet.

My trail went to a jury and I was proven innocent. Dee was there for me and secured my freedom even though the state tried to ruin my life and reputation. Every court date he would send a different lawyer but never himself. One court date he sent a lawyer named Woody I got to court early & I over heard Woody & prosecutor talking the prosecutor said, tell Dee I'm mad at him Woody said why? PA said, cause he promised me a guilty plea out of (me & I wasn't pleading guilty to that) Woody said, this is my first time representing (me) & I'm not familiar with this case Prosecutor said, sense I didn't get my guilty plea I'm thinking about bumping the C felony up to a B felony that would be a nice Chrismas present wouldn't it. Wampler has no integrity if it's not a high profile case or in the news he won't put out any effort. The man is a thief.. read ripoff report on him I'm not the only one....
