Impossible to deal with. We paid in full and have been waiting nearly a year for resolution. Whenever we call the office we’re told the person we need to speak with is “in a meeting”, every. single. time. IF we ever do get a call back, we get the run around and how they’re waiting to hear back from the IRS. This has been a very frustrating and upsetting experience.

I have some very close friends dealing with personal financial issues. The office of Travis Watkins was recommended to them. They met with them and thought things were going well. They were told that it would all be handled and not to worry, they do this type of work all the time. My friends paid them in advance as was required. BUT the Travis Watkins office are very unethical. They requested and received payment upfront and then did nothing. When asked repeatedly over an entire year they continued to refuse meetings, to provide copies of filings or even updates. Eventually they stated that it could all be cleared up for ‘an additional $2000 payment ‘—this was without any further meetings.
My friends found another ethical attorney and cleared up all the issues for 1/2 of what they gave the Travis Watkins office during their first meeting.
The Travis Watkins firm is taking advantage of people with real problems and they should be out of business. When my friends went to the Travis Watkins office recently to request copies of their file the office personnel said they were trespassing and would be calling the police. At no time were voices raised or threats made. Travis Watkins just wanted them out of there ASAP. It is amazing me the things people do to others they are being paid to help.
DO NOT USE TRAVIS WATKINS FOR ANY SERVICE.

I did get my problem solved, by using an IRS Advocate, who called me as promised every step of the way.

Need to change my initial review unfortunately. They dropped the ball completely and let our payment plan with IRS expire after we called and emailed every day asking if we needed to do anything before an IRS deadline. Not only did they tell us they handled it when it turned out they had not, they did not seem to care and did not even give us the correct information. They are either totally under staffed or they simply don't care. If something changes and my assessment turns out to be wrong I will adjust this rating but as of now hiring this firm hurt us with IRS more than helped us and I could not recommend them to anyone. I hope I can change this review if things change but as of now I do not have a lot of hope.

The entire staff really cares about your needs. They treat you with respect and are highly professional. You don't feel like a client you feel like family!

Would give zero stars if I could. I paid 1500 to get the run around for over a year. Had one guy on my case for the better part of the year then he up and quit. Then they put a different guy on my case that was clueless. Then I found out that I could have got the exact same deal on my own without their lack of help. Don't waste your time with this place. There are other tax attorneys that are way better and willing to help you, not just pass you off to some clueless helper that does nothing and was never available. I'd call to ask a question and have to leave messages then maybe a week or so later he might call back... but probably not.

So far I have had a positive experience. Joey is very personable & explains the process clearly, answers questions patiently, & takes time to 'just visit.' Office staff is friendly as well.
That being said, I am at the beginning of this process so the rating does have the potential to go down if the outcome is not pretty. But Joey would have to not show up or agree with the other side for that to happen. I expect the rating to hold.

These guys are really professional and know what they're doing. They charge a set fee (Not an hourly rate) so you know what you're paying from the start (And that the fees aren't going to spiral out of control) The attorney that was working with me resolved my tax issues much quicker than I thought possible.They are worth every penny; I highly recommend.

FRAUD: a person or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities.

1-Travis Watkins made claims and gave assurances regarding performance of an agreed upon objective that was never accomplished or even had any reasonable level of follow through.
2-When confronted (on many levels-corporate, legal, tax and even marketing) Travis Watkins made no attempt to address the issues or refund money paid when it became obvious that their firm was incapable of delivering on what was agreed upon.

We are going through the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as well as Tulsa Small Claims Court to address this "company". Save yourself misery, time and money. They took $3,500 from my 83 year old mother a retired school teacher and did absolutely nothing for her!

I have been very dissatisfied with the lack of communication. I had to call many times and received a timely call back only about 50% of the time. Computers are down over and over, moving offices, nobody is available, always in a meeting or won't be back till next week. Nobody tells us the same thing. I was so frustrated I called the IRS myself. In two hours I was able to get more accomplished than in the months since hiring this office. Totally disgusted. Lack of communication, they don't seem to care about the client. No way would I refer this company to anyone I know.

I wasn't going to give a review, but after reading all the others I decided to share my experience. I came to them in the end of 2016 to help with my issue and paid a nice sum. They never could give me straight answers and rarely returned my phone calls. 1 1/2 years later finally went somewhere else and issue was resoluved in 2 1/2 months. I would say don't use them.

My husband and I were way behind in filing our taxes and paying what we owe and came for the consultation. We ended up going with their plan and left the office very relieved that this was finally being taken care of. Also I think that their resolution plan is a very good option and can hopefully take care of that part of the sticky situation we were in. It is nice to know that there is a light at the end of this tunnel for us. If your having IRS/tax problems, I would highly recommend coming in for the consultation and seeing for yourselves what they can do to help you out!!

I had owed well over $70,000 to the IRS and OTC from previous years. My business was struggling and the IRS began garnishing my wages in order to collect. Since they were taking money from my paycheck our household struggled even more to make ends meet. We then had to move in with a close family member. I thought the end was near, but then I lost my business and was forced to close. I am now working for someone else. I didn’t know what other options I had until I seen a commercial on TV for Travis Watkins. I decided to give his office a call and see what they could do to get me out of this hole that I was in, by a mistake that I had made. During the consultation, the tax professional was able to sit down and evaluate everything that has been happening to me. He told me that we would investigate and come up with a plan of action. I thought I was going to have to sell a kidney to be able to pay off my tax debt, but Travis’ office only wanted a flat fee in order to handle my case and negotiate. I owed the IRS over a million dollars and after I hired Travis Watkins he couldn't qualify me for anything. I didn' feel like anyone was even trying to help me at his office and Mr. Watkins would not ever meet with me after he took my money. I agree with everyone who said they were scammed. A friend hired another attorney who had really helped him so I tried again. This attorney got an Offer in Compromise approved for me and the IRS agreed I can't afford to pay back the taxes they say I owe. Travis Watkins pretends to be something he isn't. I don't know how they can feel good about taking money.

I can't give Travis Watkins enough praise for who he is and what he has done for me.

I was at my lowest point in life, totally overwhelmed and owed the IRS a "ton" of money. The IRS kept adding penalties and interest. I knew there was not any way I could get out of this mess.
I went from being very successful to having almost every aspect of my life falling apart. Taking an antibiotic destroyed my joints to the point that I became disabled & my business residual income was quickly declining. Here is my story; I went through a very difficult divorce which cost me most of my life savings. During this three year ordeal I fell behind in my Taxes.
