I would like to express my STRONG disappointment with the DA Office. I have had really bad service with a certain DA there. Back in Dec. 2015 I went to court where the Judge had postponed the hearing for a later date for sometime in Jan. 2016. The Judge court ordered this DA to have my son interviewed BEFORE the end of Dec. Well, sadly that never happened. So I started calling the office trying to get a hold the DA. After calling for a few days I finally get a hold of the DA and tell her the situation. I then asked her, why has my son NOT been interviewed yet, especially when it is court ordered to have had it done by the end of Dec.? I also said the Judge said his word is very key to this case.... Her ignorant response was... Oh my gosh that's a good question, let me get your number and I'll get back to you as soon as I get an answer. Days have gone by and NO call from her still. So I have continued to call her number to only hear... The voicemail is full and no messages can be left. (Wow! Imagine that) Also, it turns out that the other person that was facing the abuse charges had court YESTERDAY!!! So I went online looked up their case and seen that the charges were DROPPED! Thanks to the DA that was supposed to be there for my son. GREAT job at showing how important your people are. My son IS going through a lot of emotional trauma because of the abuse he faced while with the other person. Now, to see that the charges were dropped because of the lack of commitment on the DA's part is very uncalled for. I sure hope that the next case you get. You actually take into consideration that REAL people are involved and the interviews that you are supposed to conduct could mean a lot for them in court.
As of today, Jan 14, 2016 I have left a voicemail with the DA's Supervisor in hopes that I get a call back very soon to discuss my concerns with this matter.
