I have never been in a car accident before and Victoria Mullins made sure I understood the process of it all and constantly kept in touch from start to finish. Of course having any kind of legal issues is always nerve wracking but Ms Mullins does everything lightening fast and communicates promptly. My life changed on March 12 2017 when I was in car accident on the highway 215 in Henderson NV. I left work as a bartender and was driving home in the early morning (2:30-3:00am). Then right in front of me on the highway I noticed the presence of a car with no lights on coming came straight towards me! That's all I remember.

I was left in a coma with multiple broken bones and the driver of the other car died. It turned out he had his driver’s license suspended and no insurance due to the 2 previous DUIs that he received before hitting me.

The next 8 months were spent at UMC and clinics working on recovery. I received some great treatments and I am happy to report my recovery is going fine.

But I was left in a terrible situation. I had no idea how to pay all the bills from the medical treatment as well as the other bills that accumulated while I could not work. I also needed to get help for another car since I didn't have full coverage insurance. Fortunately at that moment, good friends recommended I talk to an attorney. This advice made all the difference.

Attorney Victoria C. Mullins at once contacted the Nevada Highway Patrol to get all the information about the driver who hit me. She also had me make contact with the insurance company that had previously covered the person who hit me. At the time of the incident the insurance was already canceled which means the vehicle was not covered anymore. But the attorney knocked on every door doing everything she could to assist me. She checked to find out if the other driver was single or had other belongings or assets. In the end, there was nothing. There was no reason to do a lawsuit.

Still, attorney Victoria C. Mullins did not abandon me. She aided me in filing a request for assistance from the Department of Victims of Crime of Nevada. When I say help, she did all the paperwork and sent it to the office for me. She further followed up with multiple phone calls weekly and kept me updated all the time. The Department of Victims of Crime looked at my case and thanks to my attorney’s effort reimbursed my missing time at work and co-paid for the medical bills. After all of this the attorney refused to bill me. She said she was glad to help get me back to my normal life.

Being struck almost dead by someone so irresponsible as to drive drunk without a license and to be left destitute is a crushing physical, psychological and practical blow. The actions this attorney took without compensation helped me with my case, yes, but it also restored my great belief in the goodness of people. I was discouraged and apathetic and not feeling anything good and losing motivation to keep fighting. But since the time I met her and the way she has treated me just changed all my bad thoughts to good ones. Thanks to her I feel much more able to keep fighting for better life.

Of course, there are a lot of heroes in the story and many others who deserve thanks. I was assisted, held-up and kept strong by family members, compatriots, and friends in my life. Then there was a community that was there for me: the South Hills Church, the administration and my coworkers at Eiffel Tower Restaurant and the owner of Balboa Pizza Company at the district of Green Valley ranch and his dad. All came forward to assist me in rebuilding my life. The experience has brought to my attention the incredible people around me and shown me just how much I have to be grateful for.

Victoria Mullins was amazing. She got me a settlement on 2 of my car injury cases after Glen Lerner gave up on the case. She got them settled within a few weeks of her taking the cases. I am forever grateful that my friend referred me to her, she is an excellent attorney.
