Since Marathon Law Group (an entity which represented me in traffic court in the past) was now operated by Mr. Phillips, I decided to rely on his law firm for a traffic violation I incurred. After residing in Las Vegas for over twenty-five years, this is by far the WORST experience with a law firm I have encountered (and I worked for a law firm in the past). First, the court date was missed which resulted in a courteous letter being sent notifying me that I have a warrant for my arrest. Second, when the warrant was eventually quashed the law firm was unable to both lower the fee and revise the violation to a 'parking violation'. This by far is the worst possible outcome for myself since it suggests that demerit points may enter my driving record. I have received far worse violations in my younger days (e.g. driving on the wrong side of the road) and other local attorneys were able to decrease the violation, fine, and make sure no demerit points were added to my record. Based on my experience with this law firm, I am forced to provide a negative assessment and warn my fellow compatriots to be cautious when dealing with this law firm.
