Casey and Kevin are amazing people, case manager and attorney. I honestly would be lost in this process, jobless and in debt without them. I started this process without Shook and Stone representing me and had my first surgery without them. I was close to losing everything the day I called and spoke to Casey. Immediately before I even came in to talk and get a consult she took care of me and she got me out of the immediate bind I was in over the phone. Every time I called she was ready with a solution to every single problem or worry I had. The help, services and compassion I received from Casey and Kevin through out this process is seriously impossible to find these days. I hope you guys see this review I’m writing because my family and I can not thank you enough for the work you guys did and are doing for me. One thing I will say about Kevin is that he never once had bad, disappointing or it’s not as good as we thought kind of news for me. It was 100% always good news. My fear going into this process was I couldn’t afford an attorney so I’ll just have to take the hits as they come. Don’t be afraid of that because that’s not at all how it works when you get injured at work. Call and ask for Casey she is amazing. I am dropping this law firm. I went to them over a month ago because my work comp refused to approve my MRI. I have been sent to many appointments, many of them too far out for me to get to on the bus. I did everything I was supposed to do.

I recently had an issue with an appointment conflicting with a surgery consult appointment for gallbladder surgery. I called the adjuster as instructed. She doesn't take voicemails on the number that is listed in my paperwork, so I called the one that was stated in the automated recording. I never received a callback. I emailed Casey explaining the situation in great detail and asked her if she could forward the email to the adjuster so she would understand why I needed to change the appointment time. No response.

If there was communication from Shook and Stone, I would continue to retain them until the end. That's all I wanted. Even if I was going to be told that they are still working on steps in the process of my case.

I am done. My surgery and future treatments and possible surgeries for non-work related health issues are way more important than this, and that's what I will focus on.

I really enjoyed working with Melinda Cruz. She was knowledgeable, patience & friendly. Workman comp wouldn't have given me what I gotten if I didn't have Ms. Cruz help. Thank you so much young lady.

When my very first claim for WC was first denied I sought help from Alan at S&S. I was told when I get the appeal to call him back. I won my appeal and I walked into the office this morning. Alan was very surprised and told me that they don't think that my case is worth the appeal process. In his words it's not worth fighting for because of my wording on a form that my employer HR told me to write. I had and still have no idea what to do. Thanks for nothing!

It took them weeks to respond to emails and phone calls. When there was a court date. I would receive a letter from the court system about the date and one about the results. Never once did I receive information from them. No calls or email letting me know how my cases was going. Not even a call to see how I was doing. Not once did I feel like cared. When I had my final doctor's visit the representative from the law office thought I was someone else and told the doctor he had another appointment with me. Then one time my lawyer told me I was lying and that he had met my wife and I three times when he never met her once up to that point. I feel it would have been nice if they showed a little that they care. Not just about the money.

You see the billboards all over town and hope you never need to use them...but when the time came, top of mind awareness was what led us to Shook & Stone. Checked out the reviews and made the phone call. We worked with Casey who brought her A-game, and really did a great job communicating and keeping us up-to-date. It felt like she really took the time to get to know us personally and treated us the way we wanted to be treated, during a challenging time. I do NOT recomend this law firm to anyone ..i was with them for 1 1/2 years and was ALWAYS kept in the grey...i ended up doing most of the work running around and gettin all my doctor's to updated my medical records ..we went to the hearing and my lawyer did nothing and said nothing but sit there ...everytime i would call i could NEVER get thru and went thru 5 differnt case workers ...i now have New representation which informed me of several things that would have made a world of difference in my case but was NEVER told about all this that could have helped me....so I SUGGEST you view ALL your opptions before you decide to go with them and be prepaired for disappointment....they will not fight for you

Waited over 2 years for my SS, and when it came time for the lawyers to actually do some work to get ready for my hearing. They call me and tell me that they reviewed my file and have decided not to move forward!! They tell you from the beginning " you have a good case, we can get you your disability." Then when it comes down to doing what they said they could do, they withdraw themselves from the case. I guess they only want that easy 25% of your back pay. Great way to do business. I wouldn't recommend Shook & Stone to anybody for anything!!!

Terrible attorneys, say they will call you back, never do. They yell at you and make you feel bewildered. Took 4 years for my husband case to settled, they lied and said he was getting more money. Took about 4 months from when my husband signed the file papers to get his check. Freddy Kevin Kompemshere assistant talks so fast, and you can't even understand him and he always so rude. Don't recommend this place.
