Not happy at all, signed a retainer then a week later Attorney says I'll be gone until March, I signed end of January! Have Huge problems going on which he is very aware of said he has a Attorney there should if certain things happen to call immediately they will know what to do. He wasn't even gone 24hrs and everything he said happened took 16 calls of leaving voicemail before they called back and then the attorney to which I spoke to doesn't have a clue on what to do or anything about it. Wound up calling again and she didn't know anything couldn't even answer the question to which she should know. Worst help ever!!!!!

Not a good idea to attend greater Bakersfield legal service at lousy area because of so small parking lot. Good workers in this office but not easy to get paperwork worked out in free service in due to some strange harrassments or bothers. Sad. There is none security. Still, I have been seen their works. They are very active in having ocmunication and informed with customers legal request to be educated with laws.

When I sought their help I was greeted with kindness and a sincere effort to aid a financial struggle that I would have been helpless in defense against if not for their help

On top of it all they are more focused with the concerns of those who are here illegally and empowering criminals instead of upholding the law itself. Corrupt as the people they defend and home to the worst attorneys. GBLA gives new meaning to the word hypocrisy and the term "miscarriage of justice" as evidenced by the people they defend and whom they choose not to defend.

I got on a bus for the first time in about 30 years to meet with these wonderful Folks... They helped me understand what the crimes we're against me, and now I hope they will help me get rid of the judge that wouldn't allow my legal advice and has lied while on his "throne" , in doing so, it will dismantle a law firm that breaks federal regulations concerning the postal service against innocent renters ...

Hard to rate them really. I placed three calls to them within the last 14 or so months. Each time I left a brief, concise message along with my phone number.... and nobody ever called me back. Not even to say ,"Sorry, we can't help you". Make up your own mind in this one. Me? I'll go elsewhere.

Nice staff

I am greatly disappointed in the staff at this legal assistance office in Bakersfield. Their knowledge or lack thereof has caused many many issues for me. I went to visit a real attorney and found that they did everything wrong but one step. So I had to cancel them because they were going to make a grievous error and I could not let them do this. I think if someone should be in that position where I don't know the law and they claimed this is the way to do it while they're wrong there were other steps that could be taken. And this has caused so many problems for me and the children. So be very careful when you go to them don't assume they know what they're doing because obviously they don't and I found this out the hard way. You don't have any rights but a criminal has rights and that's very wrong the system is broken and these people don't know how to manipulate and work in this system.

Greater Bakersfield recommended me to another place to fill out my documents. They don't charge.

Don't even waste your time. The lawyers are very inexperienced, they never answer the phone and they help the prosecutors. The judge dropped the case against me at around the same time I was going to accept a very bad pledeal

So inexperienced "attorneys." They dropped my case because the father of my child file a contempt which the judge dropped but they still claim they couldn't represent me because of his claims. I guess they just take super easy cases because the attorney they assigned me was super new and she was so nervous in court she was so weakly spoken.... When i call I could never get through no one ever answers the phone it just sucks all around. I understand it's free but they should be more organized.

The most unprofessional phone call I've had in a long time. Apparently, they only focus on housing problems and domestic violence restraining orders. If you ask for a recommendation, they'll refer you to the state bar. Lady was rude and demeaning on the phone. Never again will I call here.
