Mr. Adam Pearlman was by far the best lawyer I have ever had represent me. He was so professional, as was his office, and treated me with the upmost of respect and kept me informed throughout the process.
Having worked in the Ventura County District Attorney’s office as a prosecutor in the past, Mr. Pearlman has extensive knowledge of the prosecutor’s office and the Ventura County Court system, which proved to be very beneficial with my case.
Mr. Pearlman won my case and I, without any hesitation, highly recommend him if you ever find yourself requiring legal representation.
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in Mr. Pearlman's services.
He was very irresponsible and took on a case that was clearly way over his head. He reassured us he could handle our situation, yet we watched him get chewed up and spit out at court. We gave him information to help us out and told him exactly what we wanted him to do and say yet he refused and proceeded to do things 'his way'. He thinks he knows everything, but he ended up making a complete fool out of himself and costing our family unnecessary financial costs, and emotional stress while our loved one sat in jail due to Mr. Pearlman's lack of experience, or flat out lack of skill. It was a nightmare.
Every attorney we talked to afterwards was shocked at Pearlman's incompetence and advised us to file a report against him with the bar as well as leave reviews at any available avenue.
I should add that our case was a Federal case, so I can only speak to his incompetence in this type of setting. I cannot speak to his experience and skill in a state court.
I confronted Pearlman via text expressing my concern and disappointment. I told him respectfully and truthfully how we felt and what we experienced and I asked him to kindly refund a portion of the money, since we do not feel he provided the services we hired him for. He wrote back in a rage letting me know that there would be no refund, and on top of that he was sending me another bill for $2000. We had 2 court dates, each of which he was paid in full for, so I'm not sure what the additional $2000 would be for considering he didn't answer his phone and would not do or file what we asked him to regarding our case.
Pearlman told me to never text him again and that he was blocking my number, yet he continued to text my phone.
I mentioned that I was considering leaving a review expressing what we have gone through with him and he threatened to get a restraining order against my husband and I if I left a review.
At this point, I blocked his number. All text messages were saved and screen shotted and forwarded to my new attorney.
This shows how over the top and emotional he gets. At one point during our case he thought I was talking to another attorney and he threw a fit and told me 'if you're going to be talking to another attorney, don't call me'. I knew at that point he was too emotional and egotistic. He is arrogant and can't handle someone stepping to him or suggesting he isn't the best.
His office staff was nice over the phone, however they told blatant lies and completely made up stories that never happened. I called in one day frustrated with Mr. Pearlman's lack of action in the case, and my only goal was to talk to Mr. Pearlman on the phone. The office staff called Pearlman and told him that I was upset and wanted a new attorney and also told him I asked them for attorney referrals. OUTRAGEOUS! If I was going to get a new attorney, the last place I would ask a referral is from the incompetent current attorney! I never said any of the things the office staff relayed to Mr. Pearlman, yet I had to hear him rant at me and blow off his steam and deal with his sensitive emotions.
Bottom line, if you don't want to deal with unprofessionalism and irresponsibility, don't hire Mr. Pearlman.
Definitely don't hire him for a Federal Case.
