I must say my case was probably one of his most difficult divorce cases dealing with custody, property, life estates and restraining orders. I hired Morgan Holland to complete my divorce. My husband and I had already start the process on our own, but did not successfully get all of the forms filed in order for our divorce to go through. My husband and I agree on everything and just want the legal part if the divorce to be done. We were assured by Mr Holland in our first meeting it wouldnt take long, because we had already started the process.

After months of calling and not receiving updates, I figured out instead of calling me back as requested the office assistant was emailing me. Those emails ended up in my spam folder. I'm not usually the type of person who wants to be on the phone. I even order pizza online to avoid making a call. However, when it comes to a legal matter such as this divorce, I feel a phone call is appropriate. Especially since I'm getting charged for every call and email. Why did I have to keep calling? Because I didnt hear back. Why did I not hear back? Because they were emailing into my spam folder. Divorces cost enough money as is, they should have just placed a phone call.

That's not the only way they dragged ths process out and collected extra money. They asked for my confidential financial information such as two years of taxes FOUR times. Twice I printed them and dropped the papers off in their office. Twice I emailed them. Yet, they still claimed on that fourth time they did not have them. They lost my confidential papers. I was charged for everytime they asked for the papers, plus they LOST the papers I gave to them. This is unprofessional and seems like a scam fo collect additional money. Additional money on a divorce I have already stated and filed with the court. A divorce the two parties agreed oneverything. There are not joint children or assetts. Nothing to fight over.

I would not recommend this attorney and especially not his office staff to anyone. They nickle and dime their clients, plus lose confidential info.

At my last meeting with them they were unable to give any explanation of their mishaps. They just wanted me out the door. Fingers crossed the divorce goes through quickly so I dont have to deal with them again

EDIT after Mr Hollands reply... I only received a phone call back after I left a negative review online and mentioned turning him into the CA Bar. Although my divorce was a flat rate, they sent me a breakdown of what I was being charged for which included them asking for the same forms over and over. The confidential financial information they lost three times. I'm not sure why Mr Hollands office staff do not know how to use a telephone, it it's completely unprofessional and disrespectful to not call a paying client back after a phone call was specifically requested. The request documents were already provided. I was not hesitant to send them. Mr Holland if you check YOUR records you received my pay stubs in October AND December. Now supposedly your office assistant said she was waiting for pay stubs. She already had them. Check YOUR records... oh wait, you lost them.

My allegations have not changed and I wasnt hesitant to give your office information.. only hesitant to keep providing the same info over and over. Your office staff have been unable to show me the papers, so I have to assume they were lost. After the bad review and the email to your office about the Bar, I finally received a call back. I'll happily provide emails and phone records to back up my claims.

This law office is an amazing well professional place and they get the job done and mr.morgan is such a good lawyer.

If you want an attorney that knows what he's talking about then R. Morgan Holland is who you need to hire. Going in front of a judge during a stressful divorce, even if you have done nothing wrong, is always a nerve wracking & scary experience. Not if Mr. Holland is representing you. The judge and other attorneys respect him it's obvious.
The women in his office are professional and courteous. They listen and talk calmly to callers even at times of hysteria on the other end of the phone. Not an easy job I'm sure. I consider myself very lucky to have had his representation (& patience) during a very difficult time in my life.
