It took this office 2yrs to finalize a rear end accident. Out of those 2yrs the office may have called us a total of 3x, we were the ones having to call and check the status of the case. I feel the attorney is afraid of going to court and does what he can to settle outside of court. Even when the case was settled we were told to keep some of the money in case our car insurance wanted back what they paid for our medical bills. So we have money we cant touch (for 4yrs) in case our insurance demands what they paid out, due to the accident not being our fault. I honestly feel we could have done a better job representing ourselves and would have settled a lot sooner.

I suffered from medical malpractice for many years at Kaiser despite the fact that I knew it was going on and constantly complained to the doctors that they did no proper testing. They prescribed me medications against my will through my caretaker when I clearly told them and they knew not only did I not respond to the medications but I could be getting potential side effects. Now I have permanent symptoms which I don’t want to discuss openly and the doctors are in denial or ignorant of this. I reached out to Edward Smith about this case and they deliberately LIED to me saying they don’t do medical malpractice to which I replied they should remove it from their website which can be misleading. They said they would. Don’t go to these people they are unprofessional and will not say straight to your face why they won’t take your case.

Chad was a pleasure to work with. He represented both my husband (then fiancé) and I after we were t-boned by a driver who fell asleep and ran a red light. My mother in law's life was taken in a hit and run accident (suspect eventually caught). My husband was served legal documents and unsure what it was for, we did a Google search for wrongful death and found this law firm. The firm had good ratings and we loved the fact it said you do not pay unless you win, so why not make a call. It was on a weekend and we were contacted by Ed Smith himself, the same day. Our first office visit, we were connected with Chad Johnson. Chad looked over our paperwork, made copies of any documents we brought with us and made us feel like we had made the right decision to move forward with this firm. The entire process took us about 6 months with so much involved, including mediation, and finally coming to an agreement with all parties involved. Chad stayed in contact with us as much as needed. If we reached out to him via email, phone, text, Chad was always responsive in a timely manner. Chad was always straight forward, prepared us for next steps, and proved to us that he knew the law. Chad took the time to really connect to our entire family. He fought to get my husband what he felt he deserved, while still allowing my husband to make the final decision and assured him, he would back him no matter what. Last summer my family was in a car accident that left two of us with injuries necessitating follow up care. Despite the other insurance company admitting fault of their insured, we decided to follow a friend's advice and obtain representation. I could not be happier that we did! I first called the office the morning after the accident and had the pleasure of speaking with Robert. We were out of town when the accident happened, and he established an appointment for as soon as we returned and gave me helpful advice on how to proceed until we could meet. The office was very hospitable all around. We met with Edward and Robert, discussed the accident and our injuries, and went on our way. The whole process was smooth and proceeded relatively quickly once our medical issues were resolved. Robert was quick to respond to my questions along the way and easy to talk to. I'm confident we would not have reached as high of a settlement without the help of Edward and Robert. While I hope we won't need their services in the future, if we do it their office will be the first call I make.

Edward Smith Law Office was quick to respond to our initial phone call - yes, someone actually answered the phone! - and followed up immediately by coming to our home. My husband's injury was severe and he was unable to travel; Attorney Robert Smith came to our home and was thorough, professional, but also very caring. He kept us in the loop every step of the way, and was always immediately responsive to any questions or concerns. The firm then did a tremendous amount of research with the insurance companies involved and fought for the best possible settlement. I highly recommend this firm for anyone who has been involved in an accident.

Following the accident I had in December 2016, I went to Edward A Smith Law Offices after doing some research online. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the front desk stuff were very friendly. My case was assigned to Chadwick J. Johnson. Chad was extremely helpful, caring, professional, and honest about everything I asked him. As with many people, I thought I could handle dealing with the insurance company on my own after having a "rear-ender" that was the other party's fault. I had minimal injuries but the insurance adjuster for other party was rude and made me feel I didn't matter. So I turned to Ed Smith's office and they were able to get almost double what they had offered me. My husband was a passenger who had a major brain trauma so Ed Smith had to go to our own insurance company who awarded him the maximum on our "under insurance" part of our policy.
