Paul was professional and well prepared for my hearing with the California Medical Board. His arguments were very persuasive. To my happy surprise, I was granted an early termination of my medical license probation. I would recommend him to anyone!

I was looking for an attorney to assist in the reinstatement of my RN license. I called several lawyers, and then I called Paul. His professionalism, honesty, legal knowledge, and encouragement had me sold on his ability to get my license back within about 10 minutes of speaking to him over the phone. What an awesome lawyer and person! We were successful in my reinstatement, and he was profoundly helpful throughout the entire process. If you are questioning who to hire regarding a license reinstatement, look no further. Paul Chan exceeds every expectation, and he will advocate for your needs without a doubt.

If you need true, fair, knowledgeable and vigorous lawyer who has your best interest then talk to Paul Chan. He understands the CA BRN regulations like nothing, well respected by the prosecutors. I would use him again or recommend him to anybody that needs fair representation. He won my case just like that. Thanks Paul.
As Stated below and from several others who worked with Paul Chan stay away. He was very rude and talks very negatively. I did not mind his attitude but he was a terrible representative as well. He did not help with the case at all, and made statements against me during the investigation. He also appeared to have a relationship with the state, and could be involved with getting kickbacks . If your a professional looking for License defense stay away from this guy! you've been warned. if you have questions feel free to ask me or the 4 other people said the same thing. Check his yelp***

Mr. Chan is a great lawyer, he fought for me from the first time I reached out to him. Kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. Answered all my emails, and I have to admit they were excessive! lol He responded immediately anytime I reached out to him and broke down the process so i actually understood what he was talking about. He is well liked by other lawyers, and is well known in Sacramento. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. I hope I never need him again but if I do he will be the first person I call. I know people in similar circumstances who did not get the same outcome as me because they did not hire an attorney. He's worth every penny and is willing to work with you. Give him a call, HIGHLY recommended!!!!

If you are scrolling down the list of possible attorneys to represent you in Medical legal issues and you do not want to waste time and effort, then Mr Paul Chan is the right man. I called Mr Chan to get a telephone consultation and He was absolutely resourceful, professional, honest, extremely knowledgeable, great communicator, empathetic and patient. He gave me almost an hour on the phone, where as others only gave me 5-10 minute,of useless, hope diminishing consultations. I felt like Mr Chan listened, cared and wanted to sincerely help. He offered to give him a call back if I had more questions, no one has ever offered that, and offered me very reasonable rates and was completely understanding of my financial situation since I am not practicing medicine now. I feel like I can depend on him and will definitely hire him and entrust him with my case and life situation that is so important in regaining my medical license and practice medicine again. Thank You Paul Chan!!

On a rainy day earlier this year the unimaginable happened to me. I was arrested for a DUI. I felt like my life and my 30 year RN career was over. I knew I was going to need an attorney to represent me at the criminal level and with the BRN. Thankfully I found Paul Chan. He represented me at the criminal court getting the best possible outcome for me and handled the disclosure to the BRN which ended in a Citation and Fine outcome. I feel that I now have my life back and can work for a few more years in my profession before I hang up my stethoscope and retire. Thankyou Paul, You Saved me Big Time !!

I am so grateful for Paul Chan and his over 15 years of experience protecting professional licenses. When the BRN’s accusation came, I was devastated. Paul Chan was compassionate and comforting. Paul assured me, he helped me calm down and gave me peace of mind so many times; he was also very responsive and he always returned my calls/emails. My settlement was probation and I kept my professional license.
While on probation, a patient complained about me to the BRN. There were statements in the BRN’s charges that were not accurate as far as protocols and uses for the medication the patient complained about. Keep in mind, when you are on probation, the BRN is not interested in the details that would defend you, they see you as a problem and they want to revoke your license. It was an uphill battle and Paul Chan fought for me. So, for a second time, Paul saved my license. I am also grateful that I never had to go before the board myself.
If you are facing a licensing board in California, I highly recommend Paul Chan. I have sent other nurses to Paul Chan and I will continue to do so. I am so grateful he is in my corner. Thank you Paul, thank you so much!

With out Paul's expertise with licensee law I would have lost my case, When Paul took my case I expected to have a freshman lawyer. Not the case from the beginning to the last appearance I only talked with Paul. I spoke with many firms before Paul and I found his 20 plus years of experience, cost and his tenacity made my choice easy. I cannot recommend Paul enough.

As the manager of a pharmacy where the theft of large amounts of a highly abusable drugs (by non-licensed personnel). I was facing severe legal action/discipline against my personal license to practice and therefore work to support my family. After consulting with 4 attorneys regarding my case, I chose Paul Chan because of his high level of professionalism and his confidence to successfully represent me. Paul assured and guided me through every step and nuance of the process, which lasted about 16 months. Paul successfully argued my case in front of an Administrative Law Judge at a hearing which lasted a very tough (for me) 1 & 1/2 days. Even though the judge's proposed decision of public reproval which would be the best outcome possible, Paul gave me a realistic expectation/concern, because of aggravating factors, regarding the final decision/outcome from the licensing board. I was expecting the worst, but Paul has the best written argument skills that any attorney can have. He used these skills successfully, which resulted in the board’s acceptance of the judge’s decision. Paul Chan’s success is evidenced by many years of experiences in defending professional licenses when faced with legal action/discipline. He answered all of my questions and concerns personally and very quickly. His fees are reasonable. I found his office easy to find, and staff very friendly and accommodating. Call Paul Chan now...he will call back personally!

I needed immediate legal advise and I left a message on Paul Chan's website thinking I may get a response in a few weeks or not at all. He called back within 1/2 hour. He was supportive and informative. I cannot thank him enough for the prompt response and valuable information. Thank you again!

I was a new grad RN with a criminal history that received a letter from the BRN stating there was a reason to deny my application. I spoke to a few attorneys, and they all told me that my application was 100% going to be denied, and that I needed legal representation. As a new grad, hearing this from the attorneys was heartbreaking. I decided to give Paul a call. His first words were “don’t freak out.” He was very knowledgeable and gave me good information of what to expect in the process. He told me that my application had a 50/50 chance, and to give him a call IF my application got denied. Unlike the other money-hungry attorneys that seemed to use scare tactics, Paul was very sincere and upfront, not even mentioning costs, and that meant a lot. I received a letter from the BRN a few days ago stating that they won’t pursue any disciplinary action against me, and that my file was going to be put back into the licensing unit to get processed for approval. I just wanted to say thank you to Paul for saving me a lot of money and headache. I really appreciate it.

MY PUNISHMENT WAS LESSENED TO JUST A FINE. I HOPE I NEVER WILL HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN. BUT IF I DO, IM CONTACTING THIS GUY!

I was originally working with an attorney that wanted me to give up and concede. I am so glad I decided to change attorneys and go with Paul. I had heard through several people that Paul was the best. He has the most experience with the BON and the skills to fight for your case the right way. He was professional, but personal. I know he believed in me and my case and it showed in his work. We got the best outcome for my case, (a license without restrictions, which I thought was near impossible at this point) and I could not be happier! He was also very easy to work with in terms of payments and and his rates were reasonable. I would recommend to anyone needing help with licensing.

Sanctioned for forgetfulness and continues to forget. Must have slept through legal ethics class. Not a safe option for licensing. Stay clear.

I can not say enough how much I appreciate Paul Chan. When I needed someone with the expertise and integrity to fight for me to maintain my license without restrictions he was the professional to do it. I was at my most vulnerable, unemployed and being investigated for Gross Negligence. I knew the charges were wrong but I first needed to find someone who could fight for me. Paul Chan, a great communicator the consummate professional and quite ethical, was that person. I recommend him to anyone who has a complaint against their license.

Paul Chan instilled the upmost confidence and professionalism in handling our accusation against the Board of Nursing. His experience and knowledge resulted in the best possible outcome in our case without revocation, suspension or probation of license nor the addtional costs associated with a hearing. I would highly recommend Paul Chan to any professional faced with licensing issue.

I am incredibly thankful that I found Paul Chan. In a very stressful time, Paul clarified things for me, and was very understanding. After being denied licensure for a violation that had been dismissed years prior, I knew it wasn't right and that I needed to find an attorney. After speaking with several, I decided to go with Paul Chan. He was straightforward, honest, and very knowledgeable from the first phone call to the end in which I got my license! His services are at a very fair price, and there were never any hidden fees or surprises in cost. I really appreciated his honesty and the way he made the process simple. In a stressful time, when your whole career is on the line, Paul Chan is the attorney you need. I've already referred a friend to him.

It can be a simple audit from the Board of Pharmacy which led to an accusation. I had mixed emotion when I received a certified mail from the Office of the Attorney General. I was scared, frustrated and discouraged. As a pharmacist, one of my duty is to fill prescription. I would verify the prescription and document the diagnosis that I received from the doctor's office. If the doctors are unethical and over-prescribed, the BOP held the pharmacist responsible because he or she was the last person involved. I was very happy when I found Paul Chan online. I was desperate for legal advice. Every lawyer that I contacted would not give any legal advice unless there was a retainer fee. the scariest part was not knowing how much there be in legal fee. Now not only that I was in trouble with the BOP but I may have to sell my house to pay for the attorney's fee. Paul Chan gave me a free consultation. He charged me a reasonable flat fee which made me comfortable. He was there for me from the beginning of the accusation to the end of the settlement hearing. He was not only my attorney but a friend during the hardest time of my life. Paul Chan saved my license at the settlement hearing. I am forever grateful to him for putting the nightmare behind and a start of a new beginning.

At a time when my professional career was threatened I was introduced to Paul Chan. He is professional, dedicated and knows administrative law like no one else. He has a passion for justice and will go the extra miles , yes miles, for you. I highly recommend contacting Paul before you speak to any agency about anything regarding your license. He does not charge for phone calls and will work out a fee that works for you. You will be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Paul is a true advocate for Nurses.
