But i guess once you get to the negotiation part....there is an amazing lady whom is always checking up with me and keeping me updated. Not too sure if I spell this right but her name is Danielle. In 2017 a drunk driver totaled my paid off car. Three members of my family received various injuries; my husband got a permanent ear injury. I picked Berg; I wanted to be represented by a big firm. Also, I fell for “No fee until your case settles!” and “Free first consultation”. The next day they came to my house to collect our information and to get our signatures. For the next couple of days we were contacted by their staff to get more information from us. Then there was a long period of time when none of my phone calls were returned. Finally, we got to meet with a lawyer for our “free consultation”. She informed us that the driver had a minimum coverage, so there is not much they can do. We calculated that we can’t afford to pay 30% for their services because we were gonna be in debt after all the bills got paid. In addition, I had to buy another car, so now I had car payments. We decided to represent ourselves. Turns out our lawyer put a lien on our case. They informed us that they were gonna release it when we pay them hundreds of dollars for their services. Needless to say, my case is still not settled and the two year cutoff date is approaching. I don’t know what to do. I don’t have money to pay Berg for their “free consultation”. Any advice?

My experience has had its ups and downs. But the UPS outweigh the down. My case took a long time I went through several lawyers there was a period of turnover at the office I deal with,, my negotiator drop the ball, I'm going to end up settling for the original offer or go to jury trial three years into this mess. Sadly my accident was 100% not my fault, so I really don't understand why there were so many issues getting to settlement. But, my final lawyer, Brian Plummer, is amazing, he shines like a star in the darkest night. He is really there for me, he actually understands that my biggest problem is the way I was treated by the opposing insurance company. I was 100% not at fault and yes we're quibbling over dollars because I had the misfortune of having medical insurance, payouts are based on actually amount paid for medical treatment and every one knows insurance companies pay doctor's pennies on the dollar. My payout is going to be far smaller than it would have been had I not had medical insurance but that's not the fault of Berg Injury Lawyers. In the end I got a stand up guy on my side who is fighting very hard for my rights and more importantly, what's right. Brian Plummer is amazing I would trust him with my newborn. Update: still waiting! It's been a month since I signed my "final" documents. I have experienced poor service from my "new" contact, you get shifted to a different department at every step it feels, along with several snide remarks about me just trying to get my money. DUH!!!! Three years later and a month past "settling" of course I am trying to get my money! That doesn't mean I deserved to be debased and demeaned for trying to figure out what happened to my payment! Once again, a super star has appeared in the Berg offices! Nothing has actually changed yet, but my "old" contact Rachel Duran responded to my email for help within 18 hours. Rachel Duran made me feel like she actually cares about doing her job. Whether the issue is resolved quickly, or takes another few months, I feel validated and secure because Rachel Duran cares about my needs and issues. I know Rachel Duran will do everything she can to help me get the funds I need to pay the debt incurred from a year of healing. It's really too bad that everyone can't be like Mr. Plumber and Ms. Duran. I got lucky getting those two assigned to my case. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Brian and Rachel, you two make a great team, you both go above and beyond the average in your offices, you both have always treated me with dignity and respect, not once have I felt like you two were not on my team, and your efforts have not gone unnoticed, by me at least. Thank you.

I got into a car accident which I was not at fault and when the other party's insurance company made it clear that they were not willing to pay 100% for damages I decided to contact Berg. They made it seem like they would put their best foot forward however that was not the case. I played phone tag a bunch of times with a few different people only to find out 2 months into the case that they decided to not represent me anymore. Don't waste your time with this law firm!

I had a car accident on 8/17/16 and chose Berg as my first option. Their advertisements and commercials ALWAYS say that if you pick them especially that you get THREE TIMES the money. THEY get 3x the money, not you. You get left with nothing, they put you on lean, and when they don't even represent you anymore, they STILL ASK FOR A PORTION OF THE MONEY YOU EARNED FROM THE CASE. Like seriously, their ad even said that you don't owe us unless we get money for you. All of their advertisements are TRUE, but as soon as you put that pen to that paper, they VANISH. It becomes a distant memory at that point. I am planning to report it to the state bar and maybe file a malpractice lawsuit. If I could give half of one star, I WOULD.

I see the commercials on TV and was told by many people to call them about my car accident and so I called to see if they could help me and they give me the number for the Sacramento County bar to call in and talk to them about my case so I could be referred to the right attorney for my case I thought that when you’re in a car accident and they have commercials on TV saying if you’ve been in a car accident to call them for a free consultation then why would they send me to someone that charges me $50 to answer my questions I wouldn’t or won’t ever even consider calling them you’re not there to help just to send you on your way

They were very helpful, told me to be patient and not take a quick settlement and made sure i had all the medical treatment that i needed; and before long it was done. It’s yours you paid for it and they are legally required to give it to you. You understand what you hired them to do. See for yourself what was done and NOT done!I know how devastating and painful the experience is; but print out the complaint form from the California State Bar. Go to the most comfortable chair you have and write!

Don't give them the time to even explain why they might be able to ruin your life. They miss every deadline. They dont return phone calls or emails. They mixed up documents from jr/sr. Just basic level things. I HAVE A FREAKING slam dunk case. My 2 children and I are at risk of homlessness and they have to esentially start over because of clerical errors???? I have to hunt them down to get this info 15 days after the intial discovery?? Why couldn't Lorrianze Diaz or her assistant Chris give me a call or reply to my emails. Ive explained my harships and how desperately this needs to be relsolved soon. 2 weeks. I was told in 2 weeks id be ready to sign papework. So clearly they were aware this wouldny be the case at the time or if it wasnt so, if this was some miscommunication, then I should haven be informed. At the best you could say they have horrible communication skills at worst they have blantantly ignored my problems and and treated me like a xase number. IM LEANING TOWARDS THE LATTER.

If you are not really death, or your leg is not being cut during the accident, then don't waste your time calling this people.

These people are crooks! I was in an accident and all I got was $2000 after 2 YEARS of dealing with these idiots. They lagged on everything, always had a excuse, or would blame it on everyone else not getting back to them. I could have settled for more myself and maybe been able to afford to stay getting treatment for my back.

RUN and don't look back! This firm is just a mill for PI cases. They will string you along and will not fight for you! I fired them after being passed through multiple case workers and paralegals and 3 attorneys. They wanted me to settle before addressing all of my injuries from an auto accident.

I was blessed with Demas Law Group who not only got me the treatment I needed, but enough of a settlement to change my life. I received collection notices for medical bills that Berg did not forward to Demas. When I spoke with the people at the CB, even they knew of Berg's horrible reputation.

DO NOT trust BERG!!! They WILL NOT look after your best interest!!!!

I was under the care of Sahir Faidi. Great lawyer and great customer service. Sadly the case didn't work out for me because I had personal circumstances arise. However they are thorough lawyers, very understanding of the individualized case and I would choose them again in a heartbeat as well as recommend to friends for any injury lawyer needs.

STAY AWAY from Berg... I was in an accident in the year 2012 where I was clearly rearended by a old man at a red light. I had almost $20,000 in bills and did not work for a month due to my injury. My attorney at Berg told me the insurance wants to settle for $12,000 and I will not get anything for pain and suffering. This was ridiculous, I told him that I need more from the insurance company for my pain and suffering and he said he cannot do anything for me. The other guy had a full coverage on his car. I had to fire Berg and find another attorney. Now my case is settled and I got 5k for my share, thanks to Scranton Law Firm. Don't fall for their commercials. Berg is the most worthless law firm.

Run! They will say anything to get your case. I left messages for weeks and no one would call me back. I asked for an email in hopes of communicating that way. The receptionist was appalled, "we don't give out email addresses!"
My injury was used for Berg's profit. After a major car accident, two months off work and not even enough for the doctor bills. Berg gets 30% for ignoring me.
