Robert Shafer made sure I never saw the inside of a jail/prison or even had any charges pressed or even filed against me, although all i had ever paid was a retainer he kept up with my father and I Fred Hudson and Donovan.

Over a year of at least monthly/quaterly emails and phone calls, we only needed about one office visit but meeting with Mr. SHAFER was a joy.

The police impounded my car for over a year i was notified immediately when it was time for me to aquire it back.

I live in a condo community and we have an old, grumpy, evil man that terrorizes our community and everyone in it. I got into verbal altercation with him and he chose to go to the States Attorney's office and file a false claim that I battered him physically. The states attorney that he contacted was brand new and chose to file a warrant against me not knowing the type of person that was making this claim against me. I hired Tim and provided him information on this persons back round. Tim had the case thrown out almost immediately. He is even going above and beyond showing me he has a genuine care for myself and the residences of my community by working with myself and the States Attorney’s office to penalize this evil man for using the legal system as a tool to harass myself and others. This is the 2nd time this man has filed a false police report in the last couple years. Most other attorneys would just walk away and leave you behind.. I strongly recommend in choosing representation that you retain Timothy. He gets the job done and with honest care for his clients. Thank you again Tim.

When it comes to attorneys I am very untrusting due to past family law attorneys, but Zach was different. Zach Schafer took a retainer fee from me, from August until January I never received a phone call from anyone at the firm, after calling repeatedly. I never received a contract nor a receipt from the firm for the retainer fee. My case resolved itself two months ago and after my constant phone calls to the firm, I finally received a phone call back from Zach Schafer. He told me he had “made a phone call” on my behalf and because of this, “I doubt we’d be able to refund you anything”. After five months of no communication, no proof of ever lifting a finger on my behalf much less a receipt or a contract, the best he can tell me is “he can give me a good deal if I use the firm again”. These people are crooks, they will take your money and do the absolute bare minimum for your case. I’m out of almost $1,000. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!

But I have to share my story with you in the hopes that you will read this review and choose the correct lawyer to help your situation. The lawyer I am about to speak of is more than a lawyer, I think he is part magician or even possibly psychic. They should change Mr. Schafer’s name to The law firm of Chris Angel, David Copperfield, or the law firm of harry Houdini. Recently I was falsely accused of a crime I did not commit and not a small crime either this was a very big one. Without getting into too much detail I was arrested for a 1st degree felony, 3rd degree felony, and two Misdemeanors. I’ll be honest the people that were trying to set me up we’re good they thought they had all their ducks in a row they thought they had a good scapegoat however they were no match for my attorney. They have been planning to set me up for a long time and this attorney had been helping me for much less time. I had a bad experience with the law where the state tried to railroad me on BS charges. Thank god that $%%$ Corey is gone now. The state did not have any evidence against me but would not drop the case. My case dragged on for 4 YEARS! Mr. Shafer and his team,went around and around with them over these years and my final outcome is that there is nothing on my record to even show I was in court for this. The initial charges were a first degree felony and I was looking at 15 years or more. I can not speak highly enough for Mr. Shafer and his team.

I see some of the other comments in here and people need to realize that a lawyer does not have a magic wand they can wave and make everything go away. If you decide to hit a Stop and Rob at 3am and there is video footage of you pointing a gun at the clerk and running off with cash. You are going to do time for that. NO lawyer is going to be able to get you out of that without spending OJ Simpson type money for your case.

Some people need to grow up and realize that a lawyer is not an instant ticket to get you off for being bad, but a good lawyer can mean the difference between you doing 3 years and 20 years for your crimes. Just because you were not able to walk away scott free and brag to your buddies down at the local bar about it doesn't mean your lawyer was bad. What it does mean is that perhaps you should think long and hard next time before committing an act that's going to end you up needing the services of a lawyer in the first place. Unfortunately people don't think about consequences until after they are behind bars. This is the time you need a good lawyer like Mr. Shafer to stem the tidal wave of hate the state is going to throw at you, and trust me, they WILL.

A plea deal is not your lawyer 'copping out' on you, but more that the lawyer sees the evidence against you and pretty much knows that if you go to trial, you will do a lot of time.

If you are truly innocent, fight it to the very end, demand a Trial By Jury, or a dismissal, but if you might have done something, and they have it on video, you might want to listen to your lawyer when they say to take the plea.

Whatever happens Mr. Shafer and his team will be there for you. As I said earlier, my case dragged on for 4 years, and not once did Mr. Shafer ever ask for more money. I paid him up front (Like any lawyer demands) and that was that, his team fought until the end.

Shaffer staff is awesome, especially Kimberly Shaffer. She definitely try to help her clients but she is only allowed to do so much. I went to Shaffer law firm because I heard he was good but instead all he did was take my savings for my son to go off to college and drop my case after string me along for at least 8mths of trying to get me to take a plea deal, instead of actually looking into my case, like should have. From the beginning, of going to my first consultation with Robert Shaffer, knowing that there was a cohearse statement that he said was a lil difficult but he would take the case and everything would be find. Robert Shaffer just want what maybe he call a couple of thousands pocket change but to me, I work my butt off to make sure my five kids have. I don't need to steal because I love to work. I was working 3 jobs at the time and I definitely dont want my 5 kids going out there stealing. He lied to me, he dnt return calls or email and threw me aside, so I ended up with a public defender after all....... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO NO ONE, UNLES YOU HAVE ALOT OF MONEY BECAUSE YOU KNOW MONEY TALKS, WHICH APPARENTLY I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH OF, NOW I'M IN a situation that I probably wouldn't be, if I would not went with the first lawyer I heard of and talk too. I ask for half of my retainer back or some because he withdrew his self from my case. He really didn't do anything, nor try, he pass me off to his son and Kimberly Shaffer (which is so much better than him), at least I feel like she was tried but because I wanted to go to trial, he withdrew his self and I want some of my money but till this day, he want even return my phone call or email. Lawyer's, I see what people are talking about now, if you have enough money, you never have to worry about nothing but for me, I gave up my son savings and lost it to someone who didn't care about his mom from the beginning. I worked 3 jobs at the time because I have five kids and I wouldn't still from no Kmart, knowing I'm working on my Master and was trying to become a nurse but who cares.
