I ran across this company in my email. I applied for disability a few years back. I experienced meeting with the lawyer today and I spoke with him on the phone last week prior to us meeting for my hearing today. The phone call completely turned me off and I felt like he wasn't my advocate but vise versa. Once I met him it was definitely confirmed about how he made me feel over the phone. He felt I lied about making a substantial amount of money in only 3 months and he did everything he could do to talk me out of me trying to go forth with it. He has no clue as to how my life is now and how it's changed everyone else's as well. I'm reapplying and definitely will not even consider using this firm if someone paid me. Unhappy ex-client!!!!

I actually wished that I would have did my homework on this guy by reading the negative reviews before I hired him to represent me at my hearing.I see he has a lot of positive reviews that weren't up before.

I Don't think he had all of my medical records from my doctors and specialist I saw before moving to Florida. He surely had enough time as well as ALL of my doctors name, address and telephone numbers to get them.

After my hearing was over I sat for a few minutes to talk to Mr.Haught. He actually said that he didn't think I won and that the judge had made his decision about me the minute I walked into the room.
So that's what ALJ's are doing now, making decision before the person walks into their hearing?

I got a really bad vibe about Mr. Haught the minute he called me over the phone to talk to me about my upcoming hearing. But by that time with my hearing only being a few days away and my very first time ever talking to Mr.Haught, It was a little to late to find another attorney.

So I wouldn't recommend Bruce to anyone!

Bad don't trust him

I really have had no issues yet and 8 hope 8 don't I was denied initially as we all know that's gonna happen. He immediately filed a appeal for.me.now.iv been denied again. So we will see I called his office today they were out to lunch I left a detailed message and I'm now waiting for a return call I'm keeping my fingers crossed I really need this to go through I'm sinking here. Please help

Mr Haught is excellent however his staff specifically the secretary is very rude and disrespectful!

An addendum to my previous review. Bruce didn't bother to make it clear even after all that had transpired that the lack of an appeal of the first decision would render all the previous evidence useless - we found that out when she went before the judge with her new lawyer. The judge was the one who informed us of the horrendous situation in which Bruce's lack of forthright behavior had placed us. The judge was very kind - she told my daughter that she knew she was disabled but unfortunately there was no recourse for us but to start all over AGAIN. I cannot say it enough - do NOT trust this man to look out for you. Find another lawyer fast.

Positively the worst legal experience imaginable. If I could give a minus star I would. My youngest daughter went to Bruce Haught for assistance with her disability claim. He had helped my older daughter - they both have genetic disabilities - so he was the obvious choice for my younger daughter also. She went through the long process to get to the point where she would have her hearing. All of the professional people who reviewed her case agreed she was disabled - but the judge decided she could "roll silverware in a restaurant" and she denied the case. Mr. Haught was as surprised by this as we were but he said we had choices. 1) We could appeal the decision but he did not work with appeals and we would need to get a new lawyer or 2) we could start over with him which would take another three years. We believed he was working in her best interest so we chose to stay with him. Three years later, as we are preparing for the next hearing, we asked his office staff if they had everything necessary for the hearing - (medical history, physicians recommendations, etc.) as we had been providing them with constant updates during this entire time and the young lady informed us they were only filing for three months disability. Needless to say that was a shock to us. I asked Bruce to call me and explain to me what was going on. It was at that time that he told us that when we did not appeal the first decision, that rendered all that previous history moot - in essence we "agreed" with the decision. NOT SO and when I asked just why we were only now hearing about this, his defense was "someone in my office should have told you." My response was NO - YOU are the lawyer and YOU should have made this clear to your client. The bottom line is that my daughter is still fighting for her disability and when I say fight that is what it is. She needed the disability so she could get the medical treatment - she can't work, so how is she supposed to amass a whole new history of medical treatment records? It's been an uphill battle for the entire family. My advise to anyone who has the misfortune of believing Bruce Haught has their best interest at heart is to be sure you get EVERYTHING in writing and make sure he THOROUGHLY explains the ramifications of any thing he recommends to you. My best advise is get another lawyer!

Bruce Haught handled my Social Security Disability clam. He and his staff did a great job. During my hearing with the disability judge, Mr. Haught proved to be very knowledgeable about specifics of my claim. I was so glad that I had retained him.
