Awesome customer service.

Odd thing to give a 5-star review to, but our Dekalb County Jury Service’s Team deserves it! Warm, welcoming, jovial, friendly, clearly values the time and schedules of citizens, helps citizens respect the sacred process they’re participating in... the list goes on. If you’re stressed about jury duty, don’t be: you’re treated as an honored guest in the courthouse.

Dekalb County strives for excellence in this area and it shows. Our jury services manager (Ms. Angie?) was very good. Everything was great (comfy chairs, wifi, personable people who went out of their way to explain the process...) except the snack consignment in the basement. Skip it and go to the corner and get Chick Fil A or Waffle House. I left the courthouse actually disappointed that I wasn't picked to be on the jury.

Prices was painless and easy. They do they best to make it comfortable and fast. Cozy chairs and WiFi available.

This may sound crazy but they actually made this a pretty nice experience. You can really tell that someone at Dekalb County did a lot of work on how to make people less inconvenienced and I think it makes a huge difference with people showing up and wanting to be a part of the process. We all got notes directly from the judges involved thanking us for being part of the process and my first jury duty experience was WAY WAY better than I had anticipated. I have to think that it isn't like this everywhere which is why everyone tries to get out of it. I wanted Dekalb County to know that the effort didn't go unnoticed.
