I have been working with Katie for around 14 months. She doesn't work at the weekends or after 5 o'clock. More than half of the time she is not in the office. You have no way to reach her for urgent situations. Let alone, she never responds to your phone calls and emails even during business hours. When finally you get in touch with her, she listens and takes item actions, but she never follows through. To be honest, I did my negotiations with the other party and his lawyer all along with my financial advisor, because she could not be reached. Katie can be very mean when you disagree with her. She didn't even follow through the items in the divorce agreement that the other party didn't provide in the timeline after I told her 1 month ago. Also I had to remind her everything such as before my deposition if she would prep me or not? If we sent the DD questions before the mediation or not? That we never received this or that. You have to be on top of her 24x7 in order to get things done. Actually the other party was always saying that she was not responding timely, and because that she and I were in the same team, I would defend her to the ultimate levels. And recently again I started receiving very aggressive and threatening emails from the other party because of her not following through the items we talked 15 days ago. I think the most stressful thing about my divorce is equally the other party's lawyer (with very threatening emails), as much as mine. Ask your lawyer, if he/she will respond timely, if they would be available when you need them, if they would follow through. Make your DD before you hire your divorce attorney. Make sure you are the client, not he/she. She has made this process much harder for me. Never ever recommend her.
