If I could have given -0 stars I would have. If you have money to waste then this will be the perfect lawyer for you. He takes your money and pretends he is going to be so available to work your case. I paid him my retainer fee and I came into his office and spoke with him once and never saw him again until we met for court. He even had me show up to court 30 min early because he wanted to go over my case (obviously because he hadn't already reviewed it or cared to learn about it) and he didn't even show up until 9am. His wife attends court with him and I honestly don't even know why because she isn't taking any notes during the hearing. Any time you try to call their office (well him and his wife's cell phone) they don't answer. I had to call from a different number once to get an answer and his wife lied and said Brandon wasn't available but she didn't know when she answered the phone I could hear her say I called this number back because I figured it's someone calling for you. Calls go to voicemail each and every time. He handles all of your personal business through text message and claims he is in court every day of the week no matter the hour. During my temporary hearing I basically had to talk for myself in front of the judge because he stood there like he didn't even really know anything about my case and after the temporary hearing he had 10 days to respond to my defendants lawyer to get the temporary documents back to the judge and he DID NOT respond. He "claims" he didn't even have any knowledge it had been signed by the judge and filed by the courthouse. How is this even possible when you supposedly have a legal assistant in your office and also the court sends lawyers everything that is filed electronically by email. It's not that he didn't know he just didn't care to know. He even filed a motion to amend the temporary documents and I advised more than once that I didn't want this but he did it anyway. Then he charged me the fees for the time "he claims" he used for filing the motion. If you had of done your job in the first place there wouldn't have been a motion to file, and if you wanted to file a motion you should have been the one to pay for it for your lack of keeping up with what's going on with my case. I have a long thread of text messages in my phone from all the lies. Even when they first tried to get the papers served I told his wife several times they have our address wrong and she just said ok she will fix it but everything was in an I don't care tone. Then she text me a week later saying they can't get the papers served and she doesn’t know why. I Talked to the server and she still had the address wrong on the papers so he was stopping by our neighbors house. It was even still wrong on the "fake draft temporary documents" they sent me. It's not rocket science to fix an address. I even stopped by the office one day to try to speak with Brandon and she opened the door and said we are not expecting you. If I have paid someone 2700.00 I should be able to talk to you or come in to speak with you about my case. Even after I terminated him I asked him to send my personal documents to me by mail or I can come pick them up. No they sent all of my personal text messages, pictures of my child, ect by email to my new lawyer when I asked them MANY times do not send my personal business by email. I even stated this in the termination letter that I wanted the originals. I will also be complaining to the Mississippi Bar Association as well. If you don't have time to work someone's case DON'T TAKE IT. Stop being money hungry. These are people's lives. These other reviews are obviously "friends of the family" because to my knowledge several clients had to leave him and find someone else because of this same issue.
***Responding to Brandon's comment. Don't forget to tell them I got that in court but what did I get on the actual document that was filed by the court with incorrect information because you didn't respond to his lawyer or the court? Don't forget there is filed proof in the courthouse.

I will give another review after court Wednesday. But I will honestly state the good the bad and everything so far. In the beginning he was amazing gave us alittle hope was understanding, affordable and just a heaven sent. However we have watch over the last year as we have felt less than important. Last time we were set for court the morning of court after we had left our house headed to the courthouse we received a call from his wife Ashley informing us he was in the hospital with kidney stones. So our court date was put off for the 3rd time. 1st time was a supposed guardian ad lien the other attorney requested the 2nd time the judge recused himself and the 3rd time was Brandon kidney issue. We have been fighting for grandparents rights for approximately a year and a half and have yet to see a judge but we paid Me. Brooks who for the last 6 months has preferred email and text communication even when we have requested calls. I have felt a lack of genuine concern from him definitely a different impression than I at first had. I only hope Monday he is able to prove my original impression right. It would be nice to have a reputable attorney who is not one of the "good ole" boys of Rankin county to depend on and refer. I will know by Wednesday if his original thoughtfulness and compassion is authinic and will follow up. But for now mediocre is the best I can give him.
