Nightmare! Very rude, incompetent, don’t know how to do her job!!! She had to make so many phone calls to figure out some simple details !! Very inconsiderate! Please stay home and give a chance for younger more qualified people who need a job!!

I’m very discouraged by the treatment I received today! The case worker that I spoke with wasn’t knowledgeable of the questions asked, resulting in waisted time. However, being in public service I do find it helpful when being empathetic to everyone’s situation. It’s a disservice for taxpayers who depend on the Government to render and resolve enforcement of support for young/older children. ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TEXAS you must do better for ALL CHILDREN; they are the ones suffering. The very least you could do as an employee of at the attorney generals office is listen, help, and exhaust all avenues for families.
This is unacceptable and a waste of time missing from work!

I am extremely disappointed in the treatment I received at this location. I went there with questions and it turned into a fiasco. The lady who was supposed to be helping me named Lavonda was extremely unprofessional. Once I realized that my questions weren't being answered and Lavonda insisted on talking over me, I politely grabbed my paperwork to walk out. As I was heading out of her office she said "you better get your *** out" I turned around and asked her what did she say and she got in my face and yelled at me to leave. I said no I need to speak to your supervisor. I then started yelling for a supervisor. The supervisor came out and assisted me further. I don't believe that people should work in a public service location if they can't deal with the public. I was calm with my issues with my case, imagine what she would do if someone came in irate? This needs to be investigated further and I'm filing a formal complaint against this employee.

Been 4 times and still haven't received help

I visited this location today (11-15-19) and found them very helpful and understanding. Make sure you ask to speak to an agent when you are there. I was told to mail in the form I needed and they would review it. I asked to speak to someone and waited about 10 Mins and agent Marisa came out and greeted me. We went to her office and she listened as I explained what I was attempting to get done. She took the form I needed filed and reviewed it then asked me a few questions. At that time we were able to make an agreement on what needed to be done and she filed the form for me on the spot. Legally speaking they are bound to do what the laws of Texas requires and only that. Marisa was very polite and professional, as was I, together we worked it out and I didn’t have to wait on the mail and system back log. I highly recommend this office location due to this fact.
Remember to have your documents in order before you go and be patient and calm. They are just doing their job.

There are so many things wrong with the child support system and people who are actually in charge of running it. Their is a white lady in room #3 she is a absolute ignorant and rude person.

Hard workers

EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to this office I always get attitude from either the receptionist or one of the case workers. They are COMPLETELY RUDE to people and act as though people are wasting their time. I love that they have expanded the waiting room area and have a little play area in the back for kids as well as a computer for people to use but the people working there SUCK! Hire better employees who know how to work with people who are just trying to seek help and answers!!

Number one, this office does not exist. It is just a chase bank that is also closed. They need to update their new address on the Internet because this is the third time I have driven here to the wrong place because of misinformation on Google. Number two, the child support office does not enforce child support payments at all. I have been trying to enforce them for years, with no results. And they keep giving me this address even though it is WRONG. They are no help and I would rate them a zero if I could. Don't even waste your time and gas trying to drive to this location because no child support office exists here.

No line when I went on a Friday afternoon. Was quite surprised and staff was helpfull.

One star only because zero is not an option. This investigative juggernaut decided that if my ex-wife said it - it must be true! She (my ex) lied in 2013 and told the AG's office that I hadn't paid any child support for 2 years. Did they call me to see what was going on? Did they investigate even the slightest little bit? Nope. They decided it would be easier to just put an order of seizure on my bank accounts and took over $1900 out of my accounts almost exactly 4 years ago to the day today. It was everything I had. Here's the kicker - when we went to court 2 YEARS later, I had proof - undeniable evidence - that I had NEVER ONCE MISSED A PAYMENT! Did they give my money back? Nope. They said it would be credited to my account as future payment. This morning I got a call from my ex telling me that $1931 had just been deposited into her account from the AG. FOUR YEARS LATER, people. Free advice, if you have to work with these people - this office in particular - record everything you do or say to them and especially anything they say to you. And if you can afford it, lawyer up. They respond a lot faster to lawyers than they will to you.

It took 18 years to finally get child support for my son and they still don't get payments on time I have to keep calling and calling to find out why I'm not getting the correct amount. They sent me a letter to go to court mediation downtown with my ex-husband gave me the wrong address (thank goodness I'm always way ahead of time) waited on hold for almost an hour trying to contact them for them to just give Newton court information again! I asked a cop and he said they haven't held hearings in this building for a couple years!!! After getting directed to three different buildings in my heels and heat finally found the place on my own research. They don't even check to make sure the check stubs or pay is correct my ex lied and had fake information and his job was hiding all the amounts when I told them to call. Texas system is probably one of the worse systems in the US nothing but predujice towards some and don't do anything for others! Hire an attorney, cause it is flawed.

ZERO STARTS!!!! This ENTIRE system is flawed and inefficient. Please tell me why my daughter is almost FIVE and has received NOTHING from her case!! Please tell me why after jumping through phone hoops for thirty minutes, I can't get any information on MY case because of an error on YOUR end. Please tell WHY my CID number doesn't match my social! Please tell me why I have to keep calling, submitting forms and giving you guys information to do NOTHING with!?!? Is it because my balance isn't high enough yet?! Is it because you have too many cases that you could CARELESS about the people and children? That representative helped ZERO and didn't answer ONE of my questions!! Worst attitudes. Guy that works front desk hits on girls that are there trying to get help. The heavier set lawyer in there had the nerve to barge in on my conversation with an AOG representative about the AOG wrongfully putting a restriction on my bonuses and 401k
when I wasn't behind on anything and was actually ahead on payments. This lawyer was telling me they had no care to fix my issue because I was angry (like anyone would be). Shows why this guy didnt make it as a well respected lawyer. Took me calling the senators office to get this resolved since the AOG didnt have record of it (Oct 2015)

Now I'm about to call in for another unlawful garnishment of wages on another bonus. This office needs to tighten up and remember they work for the people.

This must be one of the most pointless organizations on the planet. All it has done is gone out of its way to not only cause issues between my ex and myself (we come to agreements on almost everything, yet this office decides that it wants to butt in and change child support agreements regardless of what the actual people in the situation want, but typical government there, butting in where it's not wanted). But, most of all, it insists on forcing me to pay child support on a child that I not only have custody of, but I also have an order SAYING "terminate the child support". I have sent the order to them TWICE, they still don't have it, and they're about to cost me $5k for an out of the country trip because they claim I owe money I have REPEATEDLY shown their office I don't owe.
NOT EVEN ONE STAR! But, just like the government, it forces you to give it a better rating than they deserve.
