Was not willing to help me

When arrived at the Lam Law Firm for my first appointment and after this meeting I felt I was in good hands. Once I had filled out all the documents and went back to signed them. the only other thing I had to do after that was to appear at the Bankruptcy Court which was not as bad as I thought it would, Att. Lam told me that everything went well and that it would be about sixty day to receive the Discharge. Sixty one days later I received a complete discharge. I am vary please and satisfied with the way my case was handled. lam Law firm is a very professional Law firm and I would recommend them to everyone.

I needed help for a long time. In my head i believed there was nothing anyone could do for me. I kept going to work everyday and thinking that i should call lam law firm cause i passed her bill board everyday. I was scared but i finally called. My first consultation, (going into that office thinking this was gonna be a waste of time and wanting to cry) was the complete opposit of what i expected. They made me feel right at home and at ease. Attorney Lam is extremely insensitive and heartless, not to mention unprofessional. I am facing foreclosure due to my mortgage company's oversight and filing bankruptcy is the only remedy currently available to me. At the initial consultation I was told the upfront fee was $1000 and the total amount of $3500 (in her words the most she was legally allowed to charge, first red flag) would be built into the payment plan we would submit. I made her aware of my situation and she seemed understanding and was also aware of the time constraints I was facing. The next day her assistant called me and told me that due to the fact that the case needed to be filed the following week I would have to pay $2000 up front. After I told her that this was an impossibility she consulted Lam again and her response was, "That's what he has to do." Nothing changed from one day to the next except her fee. She simply preys upon those who can ill afford to be extorted, it is reprehensible and I would not recommend her services to anyone.

When we first contacted Ms Lam she was leaving for a maternity leave. We were impressed with her so we waited until she was ready to start back to work to contact her. We did not know where to start and she was there and explained the law in terms we could understand.
