In 2012, I took my parents to the Smith Law firm for a comprehensive Will. My father passed away 17 months ago and my 92 yr old mother is now in a rehab care center after a hospitalization. As a result, and needing to provide the POA document as my mother's representative, I discover that my copy of my mother's Medical directive is lacking the signature page. I do not live within 1100 miles and cannot get access to the original. I am unable to obtain ANY records from the hospital regarding my mother, nor can I provide her POA to the care center as requested of me over a week ago. To date, I made 5 calls, leaving personal voice mail messages and sent 3 emails to Mr. Smith asking for his assistance to resolve this. (Promises were made and no resolve.) After missing another deadline today during my mother's phone care status conference, we still do not have the completed document. I find this absolutely abhorrent and unprofessional. This issue could have been resolved pretty effortlessly. Incidentally, I was told by a health care administrator that this is not the first time this firm has conducted themselves in a similar manner.

I used Brandon Smith as my closing attorney and he barely did anything for me. It wasn't disclosed to me until we were already into the process that he also had the seller as a client for other cases. It was like pulling teeth trying to get him to respond to me to figure out some issues with a very difficult seller and he did not fight for me at all. He was basically useless.
