Mark Jacobs is the best immigration lawyer in Dallas. 5 stars is not enough . I had an extremely odd complicated case. The odds of me getting a green card were slim to none. Mark does not tell you what you want to hear. He does not take your money and make you believe you will get your green card, he is very straight forward. He waited to submit my application to make sure everything would be approved. He will make you get paper work that you will not make sense until the IO ask for it. He is extremely knowledgeable thorough and always over prepared. The IO we interviewed with knew him already. The interview went very well and he was STILL taking notes just in case. I pretty much got a verbal approval on the same day. I was in complete shock and I got my approval notification the next business day. If you have any complications or if you just need a lawyer mark is definitely the right person to go to.

Very unprofessional and went with me to the immigration office only to pick up a magazine and read while the officer was asking me questions. Act as if he doesn’t care what the outcome was . I was denied and he never bothered fighting for my case and when I called him , he couldn’t even remember whom I was .

Highly recommended. Mark was working on an immigration case for me. We also worked a lot with Brenda. They were very responsive to emails and calls which is important to me with an attorney. We ended up having to put a hold on the case due to external causes. Mark refunded the money that was not used and actually called me twice to ask me about it. When my husband and I wanted to apply for his green card, we were nervous about all the paperwork involved. Our biggest worry was filing an application, only to have it denied for something we missed, and having to start all over.. That's why we went to Mark.

I would definitely recommend this business to anyone! I came to M.Jacobs' office, when I needed a professional attorney help to apply for my second green card (permanent one for 10 years). My case was a little bit more complicated than any other of that type (plus I was 6 months late after the expiration date of my first- temporary green card. I had extensive consultation time with Mr. Jacobs, where he got acquainted with every aspect and the smallest detailed of my case and answered all the questions that I had at that moment. I was a bit stressed, but Mr.Jacobs made me feel better when he told me in details how my case would proceed and what to expect on each step of the process. From the very beginning he told me that it would be a long case (8-12 months), but I would get my papers from immigration department within first 2 weeks of filing my case (those papers confirm that I have a legal status and still can travel outside US if needed while my case is processing. After that his assistant Ms.Brenda contacted me few times (via email that was very convenient because I didn't need to come to the office multiple times or stay there) while she was preparing my paperwork (to be submitted to the Immigrations Department) to make sure that she would get every detail right (including explanation letter to The Immigration Department why I was 6 months late after expiration of my first Green Card). I asked her to make few corrections in my explanation letter draft. Finally, when I was completely confident and happy with my paperwork, it was submitted and I got my I-797 (paper that confirmed my legal status) within 2 weeks.
I was absolutely expecting the official interview before getting my second permanent green card, but I got it in the mail without any interview! My case was approved and processed after 1.5 year (typical processing time frame)- I was really happy that I didn't need to attend an interview- I'm sure that happened because Mr. Jacobs and his assistant were very professional and precise while submitting my paperwork and my cases (so Immigration Department didn't need a personal interview with me since the case was presented in details and no any other question arisen).
Plus, while my case was still pended and I needed to travel outside US, Mr.Jacobs and his office assisted me and worked me through the steps that I needed to complete (stamp I-751 in my passport from Immigration Office) so I would not have any issues to come back to US (which i obviously didn't have).
I absolutely recommend Mark Jacobs and his staff to anyone who is seeking immigration assistance - they are professional, courteous and trustworthy!

Really bad and unprofessional! I paid him $1250 on February 2017 and called him on April, May and June. He told me the same answer every time I called. Mr. Zhou, I have been working and thinking of your case. There is one question "blablabla". I will file your case tomorrow. Last time I called him on June 15th and he told me he didn't file my case and he will send right way. I went to his office and check again next day. He lied again. He didn't do anything and he could not find my case folder. The only good thing was, he refund my money back. However, he still wastes my 4 months. By the way, his assistant Brenda or he never replied me emails or called me back after I left voice mails.
Make sure you really want to hire him as your lawyer. He is not a professional lawyer but a professional lier. Keep away from this guy!

Very good at what he does he definitely knows the law and explains things to where you understand very professional will always take and return your call he is very patient and not overwhelmed with cases like other lawyers I have delt with that only want your money and give you the run around.
