This is for Kim. You ma'am are the best. If anyone is so well suited for their job, it is you. Well prepared doesn't even give you justice. And when I say FIERCE I mean that. Thank you for all your hard work. Forever grateful for you .

First off I would like to start off that I placed the phone call to them on Monday, and didn't retain Mrs. Kim until Wednesday. We had court on Friday. I don't think I have ever met someone who is so perfect for their job and a staff that is just as good. Mrs. Gail did so much for me and was precious. Kim .... I could not have made a better choice. Prepared is not even the word. You are something fierce and we were ALL :) aware of it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I do not know why my last name is my sisters. Lol.
Been there twice to get my will rewrote. They tell me each time they will call me. Never heard from them.

Do not use these heartless and aggressive attorney's. They act as if I had to tell them which way we need to go in my divorce. A very simple matter got so completely confusing that even the judge mentioned it. They charge to much money to have me talking to a secretary most of the time. I did get the divorce done, however I wouldn't hire them for a traffic ticket. Just a bad experience.

I've personally known Mrs. Millwood for a long time. We used her services when my husband passed away unexpectedly. Having to deal with her professionally left a distaste in my mouth. She was very rude and had no respect for the fact that I was morning my husband. I didn't expect this lady to upset our whole family like this, I truly regret ever calling there but I was just desperate to find a lawyer, and since my husband and I known her personally I made that decision. I usually never review anything but I think this must be said.

I will not divulge any private matters here but if you want to be represented in a ethical and intelligent way DO NOT choose this lawfirm . There are many better options to choose from. It was the worst experience that I've ever had. I believed that since I am paying my attorney to represent and have my best interest at heart, that should happen. I did not and to top it off there was an issue when I felt like there was some racism at play. I wasted a lot of money with them.

For the amount of trials and tribulations Shirley has went through, the hard work continues with her passion for law. I highly recommend this law firm and everyone in it.

Shirley Millwood is one of the most caring and compassionate attorneys that I know of. She will do the best job for you. Would definitely recommend having her represent you.

Maybe a little early to post a review since I still have a divorce case in progress but thus far I've found communication is a significant problem. Never get progress updates even when requested. Other party continues to create havoc, steal assets and do unethical things that nobody can comprehend and even though reported to Millwood, nothing gets done. It's possible the firm is working hard but it's impossible to know. Clearly if communication matters to you you'll be disappointed.
Great to see the detailed yet completely false and fabricated response from Millwood. I guess a couple simple questions to readers might clear everything up. Anyone know the difference between a docket appointment and a docket hearing? Anyone know the specific steps and procedures needed to file a discovery demand? If you answered no, congratulations, you're not a lawyer, however, if you hired a lawyer to answer these questions make sure it isn't Shirley Millwood. She will avoid answering anything unless she can hide behind lawyer speak. So Shirley... Since you threw down the gauntlet.... courts intentionally complicate processes and hide behind verbiage most people don't know. Although I've spent more years in college than any attorney I still can't comprehend the complex processes lawyers hide behind to try and make a JD seem worth more than a PHd. You can cry and whine about how you and your staff "communicated". How about you explain why you can't answer to "do I need to be there" or "what is the next step" is impossible for you. Yes, contacting your office for four days seems excessive until you explain that you were being asked a simple question you refused to answer. Bottom line here folks... Shirley Millwood is really good at doing nothing and hiding behind leagalese to explain why she can't be helpful. Attorneys are America's most despised professionals and Shirley Millwood is a shining example if why. Go anywhere else. To Shirley directly.... I posted a review because neither you nor your staff would answer a simple question and you responded like an angry 10 year old. You are a lawyer... Grow up. Millwood deserves to fail unless you recognize you are not Superior to the people that pay you. Good riddance, you'd have failed anyway (oh... I forgot to mention Shirley felt it was ok not to even look at my case details until one week before trial). Learn your profession Shirley and you won't have to respond to negative reviews.

Follow up to previous review..... the lack of communication is only the tip of the iceberg. Hired this firm to represent me in a contested divorce. During the process the firm did absolutely nothing. Never performed discovery, never contested improper behavior by the defendant, never answered calls or emails, never informed me of hearings or provided updates. Worse, after doing nothing they quit (withdrew) days before the hearing having done nothing and leaving me with no representation -- despite providing all of my information to the defense. It is pretty clear that even though I hired the firm they had no intention of providing service except to provide help to the defendants attorney as they requested information. Beware this firm. Dishonest, unethical, unprofessional and certainly won't represent you. Prior complaints claim this firm was not helpful and the firm posted rather nasty responses saying they couldn't "legally" reply. Don't believe that. They couldn't reply because they really didn't provide any service and hid behind the "legal" argument. If you want to throw away money to hire a lawyer to work against your interests Millwood is the right firm. If you actually want professional representation, go anywhere else.

Hard to communicate with the attorneys here and only by email which cost 15 dollars for every email sent to her then 15 more for the email she replies with. Wasn't well prepared for my hearing and didn't do well on my case for being so eager to settle.
