Hired Mr. Owens in Aug 2018 for a DV charge. I paid him a $600 retainer fee after an hour consultation. After the fee was paid he stopped returning messages emails and text. The charges were filed in Jan 2019. I emailed him to find out what to do about court on Feb.22. I finally got a response from Mr. Owens stating he will no longer be accepting cases in Dallas County. A week before court he tells me that he will refer me to another lawyer and I can work out payments. I informed him that I will be going with another lawyer not a referral from him after he took my money and ghosted. I asked how to go about getting a refund. He once again ignored the emails and until I told him that I would be reporting him to the Texas Bar. He responds back he will return $300. $300 for a hour conversation seems a little outrageous. Considering he left me hanging for 5 month and the week of court says he changed his practice to not work in Dallas County.

I would rate lower if I could go lower Owens seemed hard up for money and didn’t do anything for me but took my money. My calls was nothing after I paid him 500 dollars I would NOT recommend him to anyone unless you have money to just hand him a job not done.

Hired Bryan to represent my son in probation violation for aggravated robbery. He was well prepared for the hearing and got my sons probation reinstated, even though prosecutor asked the judge for 8 years in TDC. Very easy to talk to and he fought very hard.
