There have been two attorneys I hold with the highest of regard. The first was a man who helped my mother when a doctor wrongfully caused the death of my father when I was nine. The second is John Nix. I have utilized him as an attorney to represent our family. I have seen how he is as a man, a father, a human being. John, doesn't treat you like you are less than. He cares and he wants you to do better; To be the best version of yourself. He fights for those who can't find anyone to stand up for them. Other attorneys I have seen don't care about the person, but John treats you like family. I wouldn't have any one represent myself or my family other than him. He represents truth, fairness, and justice. He is one of a kind. Rare amongst his field. If you want the BEST and only the BEST then reach out to him. I'm proud to know him, and am forever grateful for the man he is.

This law office is the worse place I have ever been to.They just kept making excuses and never kept in touch with me about my case it been 2 years and if it wasn't because I kept calling I would've been ignored...I finally had to get my paperwork back from them to seek different help..when I asked for reimbursement they said I didn't have any coming back..3500.dollars down the drain..The person that was supposed to be helping us was Esther..don't fall for false Hope's get yourself a real person that cares about you and not just about them and your money

Too busy with other stuff. Quick to take your money, or have Lola call about a payment but doesn’t progress at all. What a waste of $5k. He is awful. Def not a fighter. Never even made it in front of a judge, and I fired him. Of course, he DID NOT refund even 1% of that money. Thanks John from taking from a single MOTHER and doing nothing.

I have used Mr. John Nix in the past for a criminal matter and just recently on a personal injury. He is very knowledgeable. If you need an attorney to fight for you, give John Nix Law Office a call.

He deserves a much lower rating than a single star - lower than no stars! He falsified charges against his retainer and failed to aggressively advocate my case. Final straw: herr unilaterally requested a continuance because of one of his numerous "vacations" made him unavailable on a court date HE set! So he lied to me, he lied to the court, or he lied to both of us. He is the reason people make jokes about unscrupulous lawyers. He'll probably lose his ability to practice law soon, so he'd be better off simply closing his office!
Stay. Away. From. Him.

John was personable, professional and an excellent listener. His office staff (Tina) and Lola on the phones were top shelf. John's courtroom demeanor was defferential but highly representative of our position. I would gladly recommend him to any and all future clients.

Mr. Nix took my custody case hours before what was suppose to be my final hearing, (my first attorney had left her law practice) he was able to get it pushed backed but he only had a couple of weeks to to study for my case.

John Nix helped me so much! I was so stressed out! He explained the process to me, and gave me sage advice. So far, so good. I have found him to be very honest and knowledgeable.

I would not recommend John Nix to anyone seeking legal counsel. I live out of the state in which I was charged. We were given a list of attorneys in the area and unfortunately not being from the area we made a very poor and costly decision. After paying $5,000 to take my case he never contacted me, after multiple phone calls he never returned a call. The first time we spoke was in person at my court hearing in which I was never given any information regarding what he was working on etc. He was very elusive and I knew then we had made a grave mistake by choosing him to represent my case. After driving half a day to my court hearing I was told he and the DA had not come up with an agreement and I would have to return for another hearing. Keep in mind, he could not present data he was 'working on with the DA'. I returned for my next court hearing, another 8 hour trip and again was told they hadn't quite returned with an agreement and I would have to come back. I knew then Mr. Nix was seeking additional monetary gain for my case when he had done absolutely nothing for me thus far. After explaining I need something to happen as I can't keep driving back and forth with no information as to what he is 'working up' he then returns with an agreement with the DA and I was given my sentence. He is awful, DO NOT waste your time nor money on this man. I normally do not post reviews however I want to warn people from going through what I went through. This man needs to be reviewed by the board. After reading additional comments stating he took money from clients and their opinion of representation was not up to par encouraged me to write this review. Be cautious, I think I was given a poor deal after a good chunk of money because Mr. Nix really didn't seem to give a rats bum about me nor my case. I should have known when he would not return a phone call during the entire year he took on my case nor could or would he provide information regarding my case even in person! Highly NOT recommended!!

Nix and Hoover law office is a complete rip-off and I having the Sherman police look into a matter of theft of $3500.00 by their office. Information has already been given to the FBI to investigate their law office.
