My mothers divorce is un-contested and not complicated but the Law Office of Linda Akwa has made this a very unpleasant experience for everyone. We still have not closed my mother's divorce case because they refuse to finish what we started without an interpreter that my mother does not need or want to pay an additional $100 for. The un-contested divorce has already cost over $750 my mother is a hard working person making a humble living and this law firm is not willing to help in this situation.

Very hard to get ahold of Miss Akwa but the receptionist is very friendly and usually has the answers but always after a few calls. Its usually, "call me tomorrow at ___ or call me later at ___"

I didn't hear from her for six months from the time I hired her. She was two hours late for my first court date. My second court date she didn't even bother to show up. She told me I could go by myself.

Office Receptionist is horrible and unprofessional. The ad quoted a free consultation for family cases and once on the phone to book she stated a $200 consult fee. When I tried to read over the ad with her she cut me off and said "I know what the ad says but I am telling you it is a $200 consult fee". Shady business and crappy service for people who are already in a stressful situation to begin with.

I called and the person who answered the phone hung up on me. Very rude and i wont recommend this lawfirm to anyone
