The people complaining about how these lawyers took care of their cases have unrealistic expectations. The law is the law. Period. If you are granted PROBATION on a FELONY assault on a public servant, then you are LUCKY and should be GRATEFUL!

Took my money and did nothing. Do not hire Mehaffey. I made a huge mistake hiring that guy and I'm warning you please don't make the same mistake that I did. Get a better lawyer for your case!

I went thair today and thay was really dwn to earth and answered all my questions and jumped straight on my case

I hired Mrs. Mehaffey for a Child Custody case. She and her staff have always been rude and made me feel as if I were annoying for asking questions when I did not understand. she never returned my attempts to contact her and I feel has never had me and my son's best interest in mind. her she lost he 16 year old son around the same time I would have had my final hearing after 2 years of court. I just cant understand how after the horrible situation she had endured with her son she would continue to work in Family Law and continue to not support mothers who hire her to defend them. would never recommend I her. I feel as though I was taken advantage of because I was unaware of my rights.

I never got the chance to use her as an attorney. I called for a free consultation because my employer deposited my check into the wrong account and the bank would not help me either. They basically said there was nothing either of them could do. Claire called and did her thing and after waiting a week or longer I was called the next day to pick up my money. Claire mahaffey took advantage of 2, 17 year olds , came into her office gave her $3500. cash , needed her help one of the kids was getting abused,she took there money, This happened in March, she has do nothing, one of the kodS is turning18in November! I had literally about 20 lawyers not want to take my case for an international Hague convention lawsuit. My husband tried having my 1 year old sent back to Australia after I moved back to Texas. Multiple lawyers blew me off, wouldn't take my calls, and flat out told me to save my money for when I had to go back to Australia and fight for custody there. Claire took on the case for me, with only a week of prep time, and won the case for me to stay in Texas with my son. She was straight up and admitted to not doing a Hague case before but she held her own. She was easy to talk to and I truly appreciate what she did for my family. We are very grateful for her. She's got more balls than any other lawyer in west Texas.

No attorney has done better by their client since Kardashian cleared OJ! She made my ex look like an idiot in the courtroom. The other attorney seemed clueless and barely said a word, but Claire was on her A game. I walked out with everything I asked for and then some. I would definitely use Claire again, and would suggest her to anyone else looking for a family law attorney who knows her stuff! Ms. Mehaffey don't play!

Do not hire this attorney. She is an undestatement of poor representation. She made a lot of promises that werent kept and admitted to not representing us well because I had gotten upset with her because of her lack of representiion. She is a horrible attorney!

My wife and went back to court to have a domicile restriction lifted for my stepson, and I didn't know what to expect. Court date came, she was almost late, and woefully underprepared. She didn't appear to have familiarized herself with the basic facts of our case, had a critical witness excluded because she 'forgot' to add him to the list, and pretty much didn't seem to have a strategy or end goal, or even be proficient in asking questions. Unsurprisingly, we lost. Like others, she bolted after court, wouldn't talk to us, and we never heard from her again.

Claire and her staff did an excellent job in handling my divorce.
I felt like they were truly looking out for my best interest. I was so ready for the whole mess to be over with, that I was prepared to just walk away with nothing. This woman lied to me about a court order being signed and told me not to take my daughter back well come to find out it had not been signed when she said so I was violating my child custody order because of it. She is all nice and acts like she can help untill you pay her then it goes down hill. She wont return calls, when you do get threw her assistant will say she is in court when you can clearly hear her in the back ground. She will not inform you of anything I found out more stuff in the court then I did from her. I could not get ahold of her before court so I went and waited. She showed up less than 5 mins before court and walked out right after and started ignoring my calls. I feel she stole 3500$ from me becuse she did nothing and when asked for an invoice of what I was charged for she refused

Claire took my custody case after it was started by another firm and strung out for a year without results. After retaining Mehaffey and Watson, Claire had us a date set almost immediately.
I was super nervous going in to this and Claire and her team were always available to me by phone for the hand holding I needed. They were always patient kind and most of all knowledgeable with me during the whole process.
In the end we won. I am a father who now has full custody of my beautiful 8 year old girl. We have been at this for a long time and Claire has always been present and ready for trial. Wish the other side was, but Claire determinedly pushed this through and was victorious in the end. I would recommend her to and family looking for professional kind to the client but hard on the opposition legal help. Very fairly billed.

Claire Mehaffey handled my divorce about a year ago. Claire always maintained a professional attitude, and she was sure to keep me in the loop as things came up.
