Worse experience with this attorney ever!! DO NOT HIRE HER! She gave us high hopes in a termination of parental rights and adoption case and then just withdrew from the case without fighting for us and charged us over $3000.00. The worse part is that not once did we speak to her! We tried to make an appointment and she was never available. Her staff is the worse also! Luckily we got recommended to another amazing attorney and won our case within a year!

Somehow my previous review got deleted. Not sure how that happened; but, this is the worst attorney I've ever been in contact with. I am from Texas and paid her $5000 to take care of my divorce and child custody. We never even made it to my divorce before she was asking for more money. We went to court once and she was late, the judge didn't like her, and she didn't even have an opening statement prepared. Completely unprofessional woman and I would recommend you spend your money somewhere else, or just represent yourself like I had to after she spent all my money.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not hire this attorney for legal services. They will just take your money and drag their feet processing your legal matter. I entered into a contract and paid my retainer fee of $2500 with this attorney on 12 January 2016 for an adult adoption. Attorney, Ms Johnson said to me, "this is pretty straight-forward and should take about 4-6 weeks." After two weeks, we had not received ANY paperwork for us or for our adoptee daughter. After inquiring why we hadn't received any forms or paperwork to start the adoption, they sent us forms to complete. After four more days we were notified by the paralegal, Ms Martinez that the forms that were submitted were not correct and had to be resubmitted. A week later we were notified that we needed to get fingerprints and background checks for Child and Youth Services in Santa Fe. After four weeks I finally contacted Child and Youth Services and was told they had only received the fingerprint paperwork without the receipt. We then confronted the firm to ask why 4 weeks had elapsed and we were no further along with the adoption. Ms Martinez indicated it was Ms Johnson's fault because she (Ms Martinez) hadn't received the file until 2 weeks after we retained the firm. To make a long story short I confronted the firm and told them I believed they wouldn't have treated a Caucasian client the way they had treated us. Instead of behaving like a true professional, by talking with us and assuring us there was no discrimination; five days, and $1800 later she said she would no longer represent us. We are senior citizens and people of color and our daughter that we wanted to adopt is Mexican. We believe they violated Civil Rights laws by discriminating against us.
