I am extremely dissatisfied with my representation by Ober Pekas. My claim was denied at the hearing level. Like many others who have been represented, My lawyer has decided to no longer represent me. They have taken over a month to make me aware of their decision although I have been in contact from the day my case was denied. I now have no time to attempt to find other representation and have to scramble to try and appeal myself. My lawyer and their team did not do an adequate job of representing me in my hearing and was very unprepared. I did not get to meet with my lawyer until the day of the hearing. I highly suggest finding a different firm to help you. They did not even review information of my denial with me. It seems that if they do not easily get money from your case they won’t bother with it.

I am thankful I found Ober Pekas Ronstadt to help me with my private long term disability (LTD) claim. Erin, Kevin and team took the time to understand my unique case and gave great advice and direction throughout the process. They were very personable and genuinely cared about my situation. Unless you want to meet your attorney for the first time, 20 minutes before your hearing, or be told via phone conversation, rather than a letter in the mail, once you're already in your 60 day time frame to appeal to be slapped with a letter informing you that they will not see it through the appeal process with you. The judge won't mail you the decision in a timely fashion, so don't assume that once they decide to drop you, that they'll respect your time frame either.
I do however owe either Veronica or Vanessa an apology, you see, when I told Mr ober that one of them kept hanging up on me, I got the name wrong. He made sure I understood that, and for potentially getting the wrong person reprimanded, I'm sorry; however that was all I knew from the little correspondence i had (that usually resulted in leaving voicemail) was that I knew it was a woman who's name started with a V. That's how familiar we were with each other after close to 2 year's of wasting my time.

This is the best lawyer I've ever had they took my case . No money down I was on my third appeal. I got approved 6 months after I hired them.

Not only that they're allowed to take $6000 out of the settlement no more but they sent me back $4,000 out of that $6000 so I only had to pay them $2000 excellent.

If you want to be schwindled, the best way to do it is, to hire the biggest schwindlers out there... Just look into how the firm Ober & Caldwell Disolved. The real reason. You'll see how the term betrayal became known. I just want the potential marks of this practice, to please hire a firm that thinks of you as a person, not as a possible check. They took 39 months of my life, filled them with guaranteed time frames, and guarantee of being approved. Than after being denied, instead of calling, texting, emailing, sending a letter, sending me a DM on facebook, Instagram, twitter, Snapchat, no smoke signal they thought it's better to send me a notice of harassment order of protection because they saw my comment about them not reaching out to me to notify me, after forgetting to file my claim for nearly 8 Months to begin with. These people will eat your soul if it got them a. $20 bill it's truly disgusting, appalling, inhumane, evil, inconsiderate, soulless, heartless, careless, selfish, disturbing, lying, heartbreaking to know that there are people okay with destroying a family to possibly get a few thousand.. Maybe less TV commercials and more helpful deeds.

Update 11-6-18... Violating the rules of the harrassment Injunction / method chose to notify me of being denied for disability, and they are no longer representing me, which I wouldn't hire a schwindler if they were the absolute last option on a murder charge, I would hire my cat 1st. So in violating the terms of the injunction, and contacting me by mail, the injunction becomes null and void, I know this law, ho do they not? These are attorneys you want to hire? I know law better than them.. Sad.

I had my initial conversation with Linda today and I was beyond impressed. I was less than impressed by this law firm. I was referred by another attorney that is a family friend. He assured me that I would be in good hands. After I initially called and left a message with detailed information regarding my situation, I eventually received a call back and was told Brittany Harris would be the one following up with me. I waited for two days without any additional contact. I called back and left a voice message for Brittany. After another day went by with no response I called again, leaving a message for their intake team. Brittany called me back that day and I gave her the details of my case. She said she'd send me an email right away with information as to the documents they would need me to send back to them. I prepared all my documents so that I would have everything ready to attach to her email and send back. I waited several hours without receiving an email. I called back that afternoon and finally got her on the phone. She said she'd been in meetings all day and didn't realize I was waiting for her email. She finally sent me and email, which indicated the documents they would need and she would review with Erin. I immediately responded with all documents attached. This was last Thursday, and as of today, several days later, I've still not gotten a response. I told her I needed to know immediately if they would take my case, as I needed to respond to LTD appeal by May 28th. Still nothing. Now I'm out of time. If I could give this law firm negative stars I would.

Erin and her team were the shining light in this otherwise extremely long and difficult experience. Would have preferred a zero star rating. This office has proved to be very neglectful and incompetent. After months of being ignored and given a complete run around by Jessica, I decided to contact the main number, my call was directed to Mitch (supervisor to claim managers) Mitch was very condecending to me and spoke to me with a raised voice. Now I understand why my case manager was so neglectful with my case, the supervisor is unprofessional why would case managers be any different. My phone call ended with me firing the law firm and a very necessary letter written to AZ state bar association. Like others they lost my case at the hearing level because they are not prepared and show no interest in case until just before you see judge. Than they scramble and put forth no evidence to support my case and only thing turned in was after my hearing. They than dropped me via mail over month after my deniel and did not contact me to let me know. Now after three years in system my appeal is comprised and I lost my case. They do not care about people they do not give truthful representation and they don't forget ight for you. They have wasted three years of my life and tens of thousands of dollars when I meet many and most all aspects of being disabled. icould have gone anywhere and won my case. I highly do not recommend this firm they told me they were confident in my case when they did little or no work in order to win. And I'm disgusted on how they leave clients out to dry after they drop the ball they hide lie and drop you it's appalling to have this kind of representation.

Professionals at work for you.

I would not recommend this firm. The staff is excessively rude and treats you as nothing more than a case number. They do not return calls or emails and make a long list of promises they don't deliver on. The firm is unprofessional, inconsiderate and literally just blows you off. They do not provide the free review or consultation they advertise nor do they take cases their website and blog advises they handle. It was a terrible experience dealing with them. The only person I spoke with in two weeks was the intake specialist. They never provided a consultation but referred me to a paralegal Kassandra who blew me off, never provided the review or consultation. In close to three weeks she never responded to the email she requested. Overall this was a horrible experience and a complete waste of my time. Not once in three weeks did an actual attorney in that office call me, attempt to consult or answer any questions. Kassandra was completely unprofessional and made it very clear she had no intent of providing the review that the website promises. Then she just blew me off after refusing to even acknowledge my emails for three weeks.

I was referred to obr. And pks. By a family member who was successful in a claim. Enjoy that I receive mail notices about my case. It has definitely been a struggle for me after being denied SSDI. I have a mental disability that's been going on for several years been in hospital care several times. I was initially unhopefull that I didn't apply for years. I don't mind the amount of time this will take just hopefully for an award letter. Waiting for a hearing appointment. I have confidence in my lawyer will see me through this process. I worked wth these people from September of 2013 , went to countless doc appointments, had two hearings, and when my appeal was denied they dropped me. With no recommendations.

Tried to get a consultation over the phone and the women on the line would not even listen to me like she was already against me from the start. I have been through hell for 3 years and she made me feel like I just don't want to work and want SSI just to be handed to me. Made me feel like I just want to sit at home doing nothing well I have been working since I was 14 and I am 41 and unfortunately it has been hard to work and can't keep a job because of my illness. We called today to see if we could be helped with our disability situation. We used this same firm 8 years ago and we're very pleased. Unfortunately today was not the same. Talked to a lady named Lorraine and explained to her what was going on and if the firm could help us. We just wanted to know what some of our options were. Havet to say this person was not friendly at all and very condescending . Not sure if she was having a bad day or what. When my wife got off the phone with her she was in tears. Bottom line is when people call these firms it means theirs a lot going on in there lives. I guess just show a little more compassion and remorse. You have no clue what there going through.

They did not do much of anything. They charged me for records that in court they told the judge they had not received. The worst part is they even charge the $91 dollars that they are not suppose to charge according to the LAW. I told them they were not allowed to do this so they changed their billing and sent it to me again. It would cost more than that to take them to court so be prepared to give up the $91 because without doing so I don't think they could feed their families.

I went to caldwell and ober after I was denied twice when I filed myself so I thought I should hire an attorney. I heard only good things about this place so I decided to hire them. After going over all my records they told me that there was no point in trying to get disability because I would Never Get Approved. Even though, I have extensive medical conditions which include several chronic pain disorders. They said that they didn't want to waste my time, that I would Never Get Approved. I told them that the real reason why they didnt want to take me as a client was because it wasn't a sure thing. That they cared more about their stats. So I went to Stephaine Lake and six months later I was approved for disability.

I was very happy with my experience with this firm. My phone call was returned the same day and all my questions were answered and more.
Lorain was very informative and very companionate. She gave me free advice on the phone and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend her services to others.
