Well unfortunately they want to charge $280 for even a consultation. Not the norm in this industry. So you basically promise to pay their attorney even if you meet with them for 1 min and decide their firm is not for you.

David was able to reach a settlement for me when on my own I kept being stonewalled by personnel in higher positions. David started with a 60-day demand letter to this government entity. He followed up when we heard nothing at 60 days. He learned the request had "fallen through the cracks!" He continued to make calls, justifying that I deserved payment of back wages. A settlement finally came, including payment to cover most of his fee. I appreciate that David continued to chip away at what seemed impossible.

Excellent EEOC Expert. I was terminated this past summer after 9.8 years at my employer. I felt it could be a case of age discrimination. After some research, I called Robaina & Kresin in Phoenix. I met with Thomas T. Griffin for an initial consult. He was quite competent and answered all my questions in a forthright manner. We discussed the various options and how they would progress and unfold. I retained him and we ended up with a mediation meeting EEOC and my past employer within 2 months. After a several hours of negotiations, we settled on a fair compromise. Thomas was great to work with, very thorough and experienced. I am glad to have paid for the initial consultation and his services through the mediation. If I filed on my own with the EEOC for free, I would still be waiting until the beginning of next year just to begin the process. I would strongly recommend Thomas to anyone who needs to deal with EEOC covered grievances.

Just let them know that I know I have a case and told them if they wanted to make money off my case they only needed to wave their bs consult fee

I have a non-compete agreement (NCA). I paid the $280 for a consulatation with Phil Flemming. Prior to the consult, I emailed the NCA and a 5 sentence email as a heads up of the situation and conversation I'd like to have. I was not able to go to the office, so we had a phone conversation. Once the conversation started, it was apparent he had not read the non-compete or the email. I had several questions about the NCA, and I needed to tell him where the paragraph was located so he could look at it. While we were talking, you could tell he was walking around, talking with other people, and asking me to restate my questions. He told me that if I did receive a 'cease and desist', that he would write a letter diputing it for $2,000. One paragraph talked about the NCA being focused on 2 states, specifically. I asked about that, because...per my email and the conversation...told him I'd relocate outside those 2 states, and he had no idea that there was a paragraph that listed state parameters in the NCA. 12 minutes into the call he wanted to know if there was anything else we needed to discuss and then ended the call. It was a joke. I highly discourage anyone from calling them

$280 an hour and the receptionist couldn't even tell me why I should go with them and not someone else. How can you afford that when your fighting for lost wages? Then it's $1,000 to $5,000 for a retainer, plus fees. What a joke!

They would not even hear your case unless you pay $280 for an hour of their time. How can someone afford to pay without a job and when you are fighting to get paid? Doesn't make sense.

Robaina and Kresin represented me as a defendant in an employment discrimination case. Because the allegations were extremely harmful to my reputation and not true, it was not a case that could be settled. I requested and received a top notch legal defense, and since I am a lawyer as well, I set the bar quite high. Not only did they pursue my defense with zeal, they were very professional , always kept me informed, advised me of my options and made recommendations. We won the case on a motion for summary judgment, and when the Plaintiff appealed they provided a highly professional appellate defense. We won the appeal as well. Terrible, terrible experience. I had the unfortunate luck to deal Elizabeth "Liz" Miramontes, It would take her on average 2-5 days to respond to my emails and then only if I sent them twice. Understand, the emails were asking what the firm's specialty was, when is the lawyer available, etc. It was not like I was asking her to balance the national deficit or bring about world peace. In the end, I wasted several weeks dealing with "Liz" and was never able to speak to a lawyer in the end.

Mr. Robaina and his staff have been a blessing to me. I could not have gotten through my ADA employment discrimination claim with out them. Everyone on the staff is professional. But they are also very caring and treated me with respect and kindness. Mr. Robaina is accessible,courteous,and sympathetic. He has always taken his time to listen.
